Creating requires PoE?
The article says that crew creation requires PoE. Is that actually accurate? --Thunderbird 21:46, 19 November 2005 (PST)
Gunnery?
Umm, you don't need to be Narrow in guns to start a new crew, do you?

No, you don't
--CaptainMundi 16:23, 4 November 2006 (PST)
With the new update, do you have to have both Navigation and Battle Navigation as Narrow to start a crew? If not I think that should be included in this article. Coolj31 11:28 AM, 30 April 2006
- All piracy skills at Narrow except Gunnery and Rumble kinda covers that already. --Thunderbird 11:30, 30 April 2006 (PDT)
Page
Does it count as a stub if you have the standard found-date and crew info? --pevarnj (t/c) User Template 16:30, 10 March 2006 (PST)
- I would certainly say so: If it doesn't have the infobox, then it's a cleanup issue; I'd say it's a stub until there's at least some text with it, either in the form of the crew's public statement, or some more developed paragraphs. Though you certainly could disagree with me, since I suppose it's perfectly possible that a lot of crews might not have anything particularly noteworthy to include (though the Public Statement is something); I'm actually going to ask something about that later. --Emufarmers 19:13, 10 March 2006 (PST)
Question about Layout of Crew Pages
Ok based on some recent feedback I've received in my ongoing effort to update crew pages that are out of date I have a couple of questions.
First what should be in the introductory blurb at the top of the page? Is this a place for current information about the crew. (ie. Example Crew is a crew that sails the Blue/Green ocean that was founded on 11 November 2006. The crew currently flies the flag of Example Flag.
From there what amount of Historical time content warrents being set up in a ==History== section? Should the history section be located at the top of the page before aything else? (ie. Public Statement, Promotion Requirements, etc.)
Hopefully you all will give me some additional feedback so that crew pages will continue to be a fun and useful section of the wiki. --Kgarrett1969 08:01, 8 November 2006 (PST)
missing picture
the file picture (File:Icon pirate.png) about pirate's icon on crew page has been corrupted or not showing properly! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deltaruler (talk • contribs)
- Yep, it happened in the MediaWiki software upgrade. Thanks for pointing it out. Chupchup 15:25, 23 July 2011 (PDT)
- It should be fixed now =). --Adrielle ♥ =) 18:12, 23 July 2011 (PDT)
Character set for crew and flag names
I added information that I realized now is incorrect. Crew names cannot contain numbers, in my experience. But they can contain several types of punctuation. What characters, besides [A-Za-z], apostrophe, and dash, are allowed in crew and flag names? Chupchup 17:18, 1 November 2011 (PDT)
- That's all I can recall ever seeing in crew and flag names, and I used to update all the flag articles every three months. I have, though, seen buildings with question marks, but I don't know if that's still possible. Incidentally, you don't suppose the syntax "[A-Za-z]" might be a shade technical? --Belthazar451 17:30, 1 November 2011 (PDT)
- How about this? -> "The names of Crews/Flags on English-language oceans must consist solely of the letters A through Z (upper or lower case), and may be punctuated using only the hyphen (-) and the apostrophe (')." -- Franklincain 07:06, 24 May 2012 (PDT)
- To me that sets up a false restriction, hyphen and apostrophe do not need to be used as punctuation, they can be used as any other alphabetical character in the names. Chupchup 17:49, 24 May 2012 (PDT)
