History
Seirene Island was originally located on the Malachite Ocean. A rock at the north-western corner of the island reads "This island were fashioned by Silvertooth."
Seirene Island is named after the Sirens, the mythical creatures known to lure sailors to their deaths by singing to them with their enchanting voices. Possibly their most notable appearence is in Homer's Odyssey. Many accounts describe them as having wings, and though they are often associated with sailors, they are not sea deities. Leonardo da Vinci described them as putting sailors to sleep with their voices, then boarding their ships and slaying them, similar to dragoons. The spelling of the island's name comes from the original Greek name, which was Σειρήν (Seirḗn).
Seirene Island is currently an uninhabitable island.
