Rending Rapscallions was a crew of the Sage Ocean. It was founded by Snarrf on March, 10 2006.

Public statement

Crew colors

Our colors are Maroon background with Pink accents. The preferred headware is a hat with Pink accent colour. Why Pink? Because it is distinctive. That and real pirates wear pink. Red, Grey and black are also acceptable. In Ships Navy, Blue, White, Grey and Black are also acceptable.

Crew philosophy

This is a fun crew. We live to pillage.

Our top goals are building Commanding Officers (Captains of ships) and Pillaging.

We pillage every evening EST 9pm-11pm for sure. That is 6-8pm PST time or the time when you do a /info.

Talking like a pirate is preferred but not required.

Don't leave during Sea Battle or the following sword fight with the crew.

We do not ask anyone to join our crew. If you wish to join ask an officer. Read all of this page first.

Do what the Commanding Officer of the mission tells you to do.

We are a fun crew so be happy and if there is a problem, resolve it so everyone is happy.

Promotion requirements

Cabin Person - This position is for anyone who joins the crew. This is where you learn the normal puzzles. You are training to become Pirate and an Officer. Ask the CO of your mission if you can reload between Battle Navigations. Make sure you are not on the Cannons during real combat.

Pirate - Anyone with a skill greater than able in Gunnery. It is still required that you ask the Commanding Officer before use load the Cannons but COs are expected to use you if possible. Bigger ships have more room for weaker Gunnery.

Officer - We want everyone to be an Officer. It is a Rank that is attainable through sticking with the crew. Joining us on our Pillages and Puzzling hard. There is no skill requirement to it of any sort.

Fleet Officer - Promoted after you have shown skill with Battle Navigation. Basically you are required to show you can take a ship out and run a Pillage by yourself successfully. Successful is defined by returning to the dock with enough money to restock the ship. This test is for your own protection from unhappy pillaging. There is a required 2500 poe donation to the ship fund. Are able to make requests for what additional ships are required in the crew. (ie if you need a Merchant brig or another Sloop to use just ask). Make sure you have enough poe to restock the ship. If you can't afford to restock the ship talk to a Senior officer. We understand. All of our pillages weren't successful in the beginning too.

Anyone who is promoted to Fleet Officer is required to pay the Ship Fund/Fleet fee of 2,500 poe. Think of this as ship rent. Buying a ship will cost you 26,000 poe. If you purchase a ship the fleet fee is waived. You will have no need to buy a ship as a member of this crew. There is a complete free fleet of Sloops, etc so that you can learn to Battle Nav effectively. Check the Notes on the ship to confirm that you are sailing a fleet ship.

Senior Officer - Show prowess with Battle Nav in our PvP competitions and a willingness to grow the crew.

Fleet Ships for sailing: 1 War Brig, 1 Cutter, 1 Sloop.

Personal ships are just that and do not conform to Fleet rules (ie free for Officers to sail at no cost).
