Official Talk:Doubloons

From YPPedia

Pricing

I notice that there is no ~21 cent per dub option, and there is nothing between $20 and $100.

How about adding $49.95 for 235 or 240 dubs, as another price point?

Cost examples

The delivery costs of items seems to be stable now, at least. Can the doubloon costs of items be updated, and maybe re-written to seem a little more stable?

Nitpicking

(And hitting Enter on the subject line)
Regarding this line: These prices are subject to change, please check in-game for the latest prices. At some point we hope to be able to provide a web page to check and track prices. Uh, don't these exist? (albiet, they need some massive cleanup, everything that has been put in with and after the display case still shows up as a variable). --Thunderbird 21:22, 3 April 2006 (PDT)

Exchange purchased doubloons

Can I transfer or trade between Oceans? Absolutely not; the Oceans must be considered distinct and separate. There will be no way to transfer your Pirate between Oceans, and no approved means of trade between Oceans.

Three Rings explictly forbids players from making trades between Oceans and will enforce the updated Terms of Service in this respect.

There's some confusion currently with people thinking that doubloons purchased on the exchange on one ocean can't be used on another ocean. In particular, I heard (in-game as well as on the forums) that it's a form of cheating. The wording in this section could probably use clarification.--Fiddler 22:44, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
If you mean through the poe exchange, yes you can use them on any ocean. The dubs I bought on Sage are accessible on Viridian. --Fannon 23:23, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
I tend to be logged into both Viridian and Sage simultaneously. If I get doubloons from the exchange on one, a few seconds later the other client will register a doubloon change. --Thunderbird 23:28, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
Why not just add a note which says, "doubloons are automatically accessable on all oceans, however." and leave it at that? --Emufarmers 23:29, 18 April 2006 (PDT)

ID

Perhaps it might be a good idea to note what forms of ID will be accepted for extending the limit? --Thunderbird 16:29, 5 July 2006 (PDT)

Can Doubloons be the prize in a Tournament?

they can be a prize should this line be fixed? --randompanzy 23:22, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect prices

It looks like the prices here are slightly oudated, the costs are all x.99. --Thunderbird 17:43, 9 July 2013 (PDT)
