The Details

We will be blockading Sherrills Ford on Lake Norman, North Carolina on May 28th to June 4th, 2009. Most of the rounds of boomy fun will take place May 29th to May 31st. For those wishing for pre-blockading partying and the victory party may continue to stay longer. Memorial Day is on May 25th in 2009. Our plans for this meetup take place a week after. Complete directions and payment/reservation instructions will be listed on the Y!PPedia page. Check in begins at 3 PM on Thursday, May 28th. Check out will be no later than 10am on June 4th.

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this party.

Location

The location is a two story, lake side home. Pictures will be posted shortly. Numerous amenities including family media room, pool table, dartboard, and wireless internet. There is a washer and dryer on site as well. We planners be greedy pirates, so there is only 3 private bedrooms left out of the 6. There is also one pull out queen sleeper sofa, one pull out full size sofa, and two queen air mattresses available. These will be given on a first pay, first reserve basis. No exceptions. (Really you know I love all of you!) Space is somewhat limited, so make up your mind if you want to come and be sure to reserve your space early. We have been given permission to place tents in the back near the lake. More information of the location can be found here.

Cost

For those wishing to join in on this fun, the cost be $100 for the weekend. To stay for the week, it will cost $150. To keep things simple, even one extra day will cost the week price. I'm not keen on the idea of pay at the door, but if it's the only way to get you to the party, the door price is $30 extra your initial cost.

Cost will include:

Place to sleep (early reservations/payments get sleeping arrangements)
Dinner Friday night (Spaghetti/Italian Dinner)
Dinner Saturday night (East vs. West Barbecue)
Light Brunch for Saturday and Sunday
Memories that will last a lifetime!

Payment

You may choose to pay via cash/check or credit. If you want to pay via credit, you will need to speak to Gothmog via PM or email (gothmog1065_at_gmail_dot_com). If you prefer to pay via cash/check, you will need to request Shortyjack's address through PM on these forums.

When sending payment details to Gothmog, please include your Pirate Name, Real Name, number of guests and how long you plan on staying. Also, all credit card orders will have a small 2% service charge placed on it to cover Google's service fees.

What You Will Have to Bring

Your own beverages. (Sodas, Bottled Water, Alcohol)
Ice chest for those items you'd like to remain chilled.
Your own snacks, munchies, extra food, yum yums, etc.
Sunscreen and swimsuit for a dip in the lake.
Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.
Spending money
Any prescription or generic medication you might require.
An auction item (Should be a minimum of $10 and pirate themed)

Local Attendees, we are looking for extra sleeping surfaces that you might be able to bring along. Particularly air mattresses and sleeping bags. If you have a spare and are willing to bring it, please do. You'll get more luvins!

May 28th: Pre-blockading fun! The Treasure Hunt will begin.

May 29th:

Round 1 - Settle in to let the enemy know we're here. Name tags and door prizes will be handed out upon arrival.

May 30th:

Round 2 - Spades or Hearts tournament, Group photo
Round 3 - Ultimate Twister! For those not scared to play.....
Round Break - East vs West showdown!
Round 4 - Item Auction, Pirate Raffle (if able)
Round 5 - The victory round! Most of us probably won't remember this round.....

May 31st: Overbuild and destroy all commodities. (Let's not leave permanent damage, please.)

June 4th: Leave and plan to take over another place!

Annaleese: 2-3 seats available (I am willing to pick up from Dulles Airport (IAD)and Reagan National (DCA).

Shinrai: 3-4 seats available (Atlanta is the major area airport hub for Delta and Jetblue, airport pickup is a possibility)

Registration

Everyone who wants to is invited to attend as are husbands, wives, and significant others. If you are bringing a guest who does not play Puzzle Pirates, please list your name first, a comma, then their name right after so we know you are together. If you would like to reserve a spot for the meetup, please follow the following instructions:

Step 3 - Paste text template at the end of the list for your appropriate ocean. Replace PIRATENAME with your main pirate's name, FORUM USER NAME with the user name you have on the YPP forums, and enter either yes or no (lower case letters) for 21 and over. (Age doesn't really matter, as long as you are 18 or older. I'm just curious.)
Step 4 - Save the changes. You are now registered for the North Carolina Meetup 2009.
Step 5 - Send in your payment to the address. This will reserve your spot for the party.
