Jesters' Court was formed on August 29 of 2005 when the flag Fools' Paradise merged with The Council.

Politics

The monarch of Jesters' Court is elected by a vote by all members of royalty on a bimonthly basis. (That is, every two months.) Only royalty is eligible for nomination and no person may hold the position for two consecutive legislative periods.

Extended Public Statement

Harr! Weary of the headaches caused by politics, dictatorial leaderships, and unreasonable amounts of drama and demands, Jesters' Court was formed as a safe haven from such unpleasantries. Relaxation and fun are our primary goals with a low-key, low-pressure approach to achieving this. We're here to help each other out, not to indulge in internal power plays or to compete against each other. It is in this spirit that we elect our monarchs by royalty vote on a bimonthly basis . Only royalty are eligible for nomination and no person may hold two consecutive three month terms. Just because we're not a strictly regimented flag doesn't mean we don't have standards, however. Crews wishing to join must prove without a doubt that they are just as laid back as the rest of us but still know their business when out on a pillage. Each of our crews are strong enough to stand on their own and not need a flag as a crutch. This means that we are all the more honored to have the fine crews flying our banner -- they don't have to, they choose to.

We choose our allies just as carefully as we choose our crews, unsolicited alliance requests from people we have never met or have only spoken to in passing will be summarily ignored.
