Hunter Ocean Brawling League

OBL Franchise Rules:

• Colonized Islands may have 1-2 teams each.
• Every Franchise has an official 'owner/promoter' who is not a rumbler.
• Every Franchise must supply a home locale with a rumble pit, ship, shoppe, stall, palace, or humble abode.
• Franchise teams will play in OBL 'Seasons' lasting for 4 'weeks' and then a 'Finals Week'.
• During a season, teams must play between 3-5 'Home games' at their Local Pit. They must also play between 9-15 'Away games'. At least 3 games must be 'inter-archipelago' games.

Game Day Rules:

• A team is made of of 7 Brawlers.
• During a game, only 5 players from each team can participate.
• An official OBL referee must be present to watch the game and report vitory stats.
• A "Game" is made up of 5 rumble matches between any combination of the team's 7 players.
• All players participating must be present within 5 minutes of agreed Game Day Time.
• There is to be no more than 1 minute between matches 1 and 2, and between 3 and 4.
• Between matches 3&4, and 4&5 teams have 3 minutes to discuss strategy.
• If a team cannot present at least 5 players during a scheduled match or game the match is forfeited.
• A match is scored by the number of pirates remaining undefeated on the winning team. (so 0-5 pts.)
• Games are won by accumulating the most points throughout the matches. It is possible to lose more matches than you win, but still win the game.
• Games may end in ties.

Other league/ game rules:

• All team members must be a citizen of their home island.
• Teams may not change players in or out of their seven throughout the season.
• Most games would be played in 'Meets' where groups of teams would line up to face off a home team making it only necessary to host one meet a season.
• Registration: Teams must register with the OBL to participate.

Registration requirements include: 1. Approval of islands royalty to establish a franchise from the island. 2. A team name for the season.-Ideally in theme with their island/arch. 3. A roster with manager/owner and 7 brawlers. 4. Official team colors. 5. Established hosting location on home island. 6. Time and date of their 1 or 2 hosted home meets (and alternative dates) 7. Registration fee of 5,000 PoE (for now). 20% of proceeds will go to a promotional event for the league. The remaining 80% goes to the winning team in the finals. Sponsors can also make donations.
