Hide and Seek was an independent crew on the Sage Ocean captained by Casper. The crew's previous flag was Dominant Storm.
Hide and Seek was founded after the abandonment of Super Heroes by Casper and Dirtyjeff. The name Hide and Seek is a overt excuse for ignoring those pirates who would rather harass an officer for a promotion than earn it. It also refers to a plethora of mildly entertaining activities occasionally engaged in by the more adult members of the crew.
Public Statement
This crew will be active in wars. If you cannot handle war, be prepared to job only during times of war. If you decide to take a ship out during war, make sure you have all the stations manned.
This crew and flag is (will be) very active with blockades. Please try to be around for at least one of them every weekend. If you wish to play/bnav with your ships, no problem. Talk with Casper or any SO for details.
We require every member to enjoy their time in this crew. Therefore we ask that you treat others, regardless of rank, the way you would wish to be treated. There is no tolerance for rudeness in this crew. If you cannot do this, then this is not a place for you.
We have a locked ship policy. LOCK your ships! If you want to go to Atlantis, sinking flotilla, or sinky PVP, then use your own ship. This does NOT mean officers can take any unlocked ship!!! If you don't own it, don't touch it.
PTB!!! Ask permission to board any ship smaller then a WF. It's rude to hop on someone's sloop or MB while they are moving stock or memming.
Promotion Requirements
Stats are important in this crew. Being real good at one particular puzzle is a prized asset. Tutorials are available at the flag's PiratePedia, Ypptalk.com, Google video and YouTube.
As a guide, promotions will be carried out as and when the SO's or Captain feel you are ready. If you're having troubles getting your skills (stats) high enough, consider reading the 'how to' section on a given duty puzzle at that station. You could also ask an officer for help if you're still having troubles.
Pirate: There is no reason for the Pirate rank unless you can gun. Master in gunnery and a master standing in another duty puzzle is required at this rank.
Officer: Officers in this crew hold many roles. Some are bnaver, some XOs, some Man at Arms, some fill blockade roles. The officer ranks will be determined on a per person basis. If you wish to be officer, consider the role do you want to fill.
Officer ranking is a training position for Fleet Officer. New recruits that have FO stats must be Officer for a week first. Stealing from the crew will be complained and the account banned. You cannot hide stolen PoE by giving it to others. There is a record of all PoE transactions.
Fleet officer: You must understand and follow the rules regarding borrowing unlocked vessels and restocking to requirements on the officer bulletin board located on the helm. If you are pillaging a vessel it is your responsibility until it is at port and restocked. Trust is a big part of this rank. You will want master+ in all piracy skills.
SO: - This position is not based on Stats, it is based on loyalty and trust. It will be awarded as and when I feel you have served this crew well.
