Game concept
A fast-paced, time based foraging game, similar to "Fruit Lockers".
Objective
To fill storage crates with fruit
Gameplay
The initial screen is completely filled with 4 (or more, for complexity) different types of leaves, which can only be swapped with other leaves provided they line up 3 or more of a kind, straight, horizontal, or in an L. When they do, the fruit behind them is revealed. The fruit must then be matched up as well in a similar manner, at which point it falls downward to be collected in a fruit specific rum barrel (one for each type of fruit). When the barrel is full, the hold is filled with one of that type of fruit. Fruit variability can be scaled by value, and by archipelegio, and gold can be inserted at extremely rare intervals that are difficult to line up and catch.
Fruit tiles and leaf tiles can not be interchanged.
Each 60 seconds of play time counts as 1 hour of labor time.
Scoring
Getting empty rum barrels full of fruit.
Variability
random placement of tiles and fruit behind them create never ending variability.
End criteria
you quit, run out of labor hours, or a situation develops where nothing further can be revealed (avoidable by adding game work arounds where blocked tiles can be opened with a hammer, or something similar).
Difficulty scaling
Increase the types of leafs and fruit behind them. Introduce a Parrot who comes and eats revealed fruit, and particularly likes to grab shiny things (ie: gold). Monkeys show up and damage leaves so they can't be opened or moved (similar to crabs).
Crafting type
foraging
Known problems
none
