Game concept

Use the basic concept of Pipedream to put the correct tiles on your pin!

Objective

Finish all 12 patterns

Gameplay

The Gameboard is divided in 3 parts. On the top half, you have the Main board, in the lower left corner you have the pattern board, and in the lower right corner you have the Special pieces board. Also, there is a weave/sew/fill button between the main board and the Special pieces board.

On the Mainboard you have a grid of 7 by 4 (the 7 are horizontal), and on each side you have a pin. The grid is filled with 3-4 different tiles, and with pipes in different shapes on top of them. In the Pattern board there will show 3 different patterns, and a progress meter to the right of it. Your goal is to make as much patterns as possible before you click the weave button and let the the pins go through the pipes, picking up tiles as they go through and thus recreating the patterns.

You can click scroll every tile with the mousewheel or X and C. Doing this will rotate the pipes on top of every tile either clockwise or anti-clockwise, depending on the button you pushed. However, everytime you rotate a piece, every piece ages a bit! Every piece of cloth has a different amount of 'hit points', decreasing every time you rotate a tile. After it has lost a certain amount of hitpoints, a tile will turn good, and then old, and they give you much less points!

Whenever a the pin can go through a pipe, the pipe will turn blue. Blue means that a path is forming, but it can't be used yet. To make sure a usable path is formed, use an ending tile or make it exit on another pin. Every usable path is colored red, and emits a bright glow.

Every time you press the weave button, patterns will be cleared and new ones will come in their place, until you have cleared 12 of them. Also, holes will form where cleared piece were, and old pieces will fall into them. Then, new pieces fall from above, filling all the newly formed holes. But be aware! Tiles not used will keep their hitpoints, and their state, so watch out which tiles you use!

Some tiles you will see have a different color (yet to decide on this). Clearing these will add them to your bonus piece board.

Bonus pieces can be used by holding the mouse button or selecting them with the keyboard. Then, drag and place them on to the field, and they will click into place. This initial placement costs 1 rotation (maybe more?). After that, you can keep dragging them around the board and rotating them, but these also cost 1 point. They also act as wildcards- they can act as everything! However, while they're in your bonus piece board, they'll still age like every other tile- Make use of them wisely; wait with using that good bonus piece, or use it now so it doesn't age as much?

There is a maximum of 5 (could be changed) bonus pieces in your bonus piece board. You'll start with 3 when you start the puzzle, a cross, a dead end and a straight (or crossover, if it is needed they are added to the game).

Scoring

Haven't made a formula yet. New threads scores big time, good threads score good and old threads score poorly. Added bonus for clearing more patterns at once. There is an ultimate score, which is 3 threads all with new clothe, but this is practically impossible. Ok, apart from maybe RD.

Variability

The pieces that fall down after you press weave are random

End criteria

Clear 12 patterns

Difficulty scaling

You start out with 3 tiles and a big amount of hitpoints on each tile. Later on you'll move to 4 and the amount of hipoints every tile starts with lowers.

Crafting type

Weaving or tailoring. Could also be used for Blacksmithing by using an alternate tile set, and other wording. Instead of weaving or sewing the patterns together, you make molten iron move through it, smithing it together (or something like that. Doesn't have to make sense). Instead of New good and old clothe/threads, you start out with hot pieces, then they go to warm and then to cold.

Known problems

No idea.

Notes

I have no programmar at the moment that can work on this. I am working very hard on the graphics (when I'm bored), and I've got most done. I only need to finish some of the ending tiles, and maybe crossover pieces, plus decide on a way to show bonus tiles, then resize them to 50x50. And then I have all the graphics done, and can start making images.
