- Cabin person: Punishment, or if you join and have no stats at all.
- Pirate: Your joining rank
- Officer: You either have a ship or you need 4 broads or 2 Masters
- Fleet officer: Been in the crew a while, and you need my trust and at least one Weighty
- Senior officer: Trust
