Fratelli della costa was a crew aiming to gather all the Italian pirates of Sage Ocean in the attempt to free their homeland from foreign dominance. It had been founded by Bummaku on March 15, 2006 (although their almanacs all list 1706 as their initial year).

Ensign and anthem

The ensign of the crew is composed by a shield divided in four parts:

  • 1st quarter: on red, a golden winged lion wielding a sword;
  • 2nd quarter: on white field, red cross;
  • 3rd quarter: on blue field, white cross;
  • 4th quarter: on red field, white cross.

A sonnet written by Pishkirlin is believed to be the crew anthem. It's a poem about the departure of a young sailor who kisses goodbye his fiancée, promising one day he will come back with his fleet to free their homeland.

Deh, diletta, un dì vedrai sui flutti
azzurri garrire una bandiera:
fuggiasca, giammai filibustiera,
avrà ai porti aviti i marabutti.
O invasore improbo, para i lutti!
Per te di morte è la nostra primavera.
Violenta scenderà come bufera
spietata con gli oppressori tutti.
Già del destino squillano l'allarmi,
cui solo il vile nega una risposta.
Addio! Tu prega e non scordami.
Indarno non è la speme riposta,
ora che s'è desta e chiama all'armi
la santa fratellanza della costa.
