Event E2/Proposal Lulunz
While this entry did not make the shortlist, you are welcome to continue discussing & planning to run your event after the E2 event period. A new thread has been started for non-shortlist entry discussion.
|This is an entry for E2: The Event Event.|
Plan three weddings - themed, traditional, and budget.
|Audience||Doubloon oceans only unless some subscriber volunteers can provide prizes on other oceans.||Elapsed time||2 weeks + 2 days: 9 days for the competition (to include two weekends), and 1 week for judging.|
|Unit of Entry||One entry per account.||Participant Time||1-5 hours (to prepare outfits on Quid Pro Clothes, describe the themes, and write each of the three ceremony descriptions)|
|Expected Participation||Broad - no limit to number of participants except limit of one per account limit. Subscriber players may be less inclined to enter if it's Doubloon only.||Judging Time||1 week.|
Participants present a brief plan for three separate weddings - one "traditional", one themed, and one budget. The entry would show outfits for the wedding's main participants, describe where it would be held, and outline the ceremony.
5 Judges. All would be in-game married or engaged, though only one half of any couple! Criteria would be originality, romance, appropriateness of costumes, Do-ability, and also clarity of presentation.
Ideally, a choice of: - a pair of blank (uninscribed) wedding ring trinkets, - a hat in colours of your choice (no gold, not all black), - a sloop named the Well-planned Weddingfish, - a white/other colour laurel, - a bouquet of white roses.
Judges would be needed. I would also seek assistance with the non-trinket prizes, particularly to make it an all-ocean event (otherwise it would have to be Doubloon only).
Would be greatly appreciated with providing the wedding rings and bouquet trinkets (which seem the most appropriate prizes), and with renaming the sloop.
Would be useful for putting the entries on an offsite website for judging (so the judges can't see the entrants' names). Also, some advice on how to instruct judges would be useful (those with experience will know best whether it's best for judges to discuss and decide between them, or give each entry points and see which gets most, or some other method...)
