Category talk:Redirects

I guess I will add a new redirect category and matching template named 'Redirects for eager disambiguation'.

In some cases there is a page like 'name (Sage)' but no 'name' or 'name (somethingelse)' article. To prevent accidently creation of an article 'name' with the same subject like 'name (Sage)' I created a redirect in such cases and found no good category for them. Those redirects can be replaced by disambiguation pages should the need arise.

An alternative would be of course to make it a policy to rename the eagerly disambiguated articles. But that often introduces more work (reupload of pirate images, fixing up links pointing to the page) and would need to be reversed once the disambiguation is really needed. --Alfwyn 07:34, 6 March 2008 (PST)
