Biography

Having escaped the Phantom Zone after the detonation of a hydrogen bomb, General Zod found himself on the planet Houston doing battle with the son of his jailor. After a highly contested loss at the hands of Kal-El, Zod was knocked unconscious and awoke on the shores of Admiral Island with a broken hand and no possessions other than his eternally present black outfit.

A pirate by the name of Chumley helped him get back on his feet. One evening while Chumley wasn't looking, Zod stole the deed to a sloop and began terrorizing the high seas.

On 6 November 2007, General Zod formed the crew The Sons of Jor-El to exact his revenge on "this so called Superman."

Fortunately for his crew, this former diabolical madman mellowed and now is known as a very generous and fair captain. He even repaid Chumley for the stolen sloop...with interest.

On 13 December 2007 he, along with several of his senior officers, decided it was time to start their own flag. Zod felt he had no other choice but to banish himself back into the Phantom Zone.

Somewhere during the month of May of 2008, Zod disappeared from the Sage Ocean and left Stratacaster in charge of the crew. A combination of personal business, dealing with his Zodlings, and romancing a new lady friend (Isza) contributed to his lengthy absence. It wasn't until October of the same year that Zod made his return to Sage.

Wanting to get back to the basics, Zod quietly left The Sons of Jor-El to form the buddy crew Kneel Before Zod with the intention of recapturing some of the magic that made his tenure with TSOJ so much fun. The new crew was formed on 16 October 2008. It didn't work as most everyone from the old crew had moved on or simply retired.

On 11 November 2008, Zod returned to his roots and once again assumed the captaincy of The Sons of Jor-El. The following day saw the culmination of countless hours of hard work paying off as he finally completed memming the Sage Ocean.

At some point in September 2009, Zod walked away from TSOJ entirely with the intention of simply enjoying the game as an independent pirate.

Achievements

Shoppes and Stalls

After having studied and learned the commercial side of Sage under the tutelage of Stratacaster, Zod purchased his first free standing business on 6 November 2008 - a tailoring shoppe on Scrimshaw. Formerly known as Flame of Youth, the shoppe was renamed Hound Dog Tailor in honor of one of Zod's favorite blues artists - Hound Dog Taylor. The shoppe has since been sold.

With the help of Eternal Glory, Zod erected an apothecary shoppe on Admiral on 24 January, 2009 and gave it the name Live and Let Dye. Later that same day Zod purchased a weavery shoppe on Scrimshaw, the formerly named Three Sheets to the Wind. It is now known as It's a Tidal Weave. The apothecary has since been sold.

In April 2009 Zod and long-time partner in crime Scootdawg purchased an apothecary on Scrimshaw. The two renamed it Polly Wanna Lacquer.
