Portraits

Um. You okay? You can do the rest of the portraits if you want, I just liked what you started and decided to carry on. YPPedia is an open book, after all. It may be prudent to edit your user page. User pages aren't really meant as a spot to passive aggressively complain about people. When you have an issue with another editor, take it directly to that person to work it out via talk pages. --Guppymomma 10:29, 8 April 2006 (PDT)

Portrait and familiar

Your new method of doing a portrait and familiar infobox doesn't work on screen resolutions other than what you've got your's set for. Specifically, width=22% doesn't work in all cases and makes the remainder of the infobox strecth oddly in some cases. Again, please try to keep everything inside of one table to prevent disconnected table widths from stretching across a user's screen.--Fiddler 14:09, 11 April 2006 (PDT)

If the % isn't there, the width parameter assumes pixels, which is resolution independent. Try that. Oh, and you might want to check if somebody has portraits on an ocean before you link to their gallery there. When you updated my page, you changed Ice to Viridian, and I don't HAVE portraits on Viridian (too expensive =P) so that just produced an error. --Thunderbird 14:38, 11 April 2006 (PDT)

My bad - I think the Ice linkie booched when I was previewing, therefore I thought you didn't have any there. Ideally, I'd like to see familiars listed above galleries. These pirates are in the YPPedia on the basis of their familiars, that should be the primary element that draws attention. Also, keep modularity in mind. Not all pirates have portaits, or galleries, or familiars, or x. Islands, flags, and buildings are all the same on all the oceans. They all have y, they don't have z. Pirates are all different. Whatever solution you come up with should be flexible enough that, should we identify another "block" of information that could go in the pirate infobox, that it could be added as needed to pages that require it without having to write another template for just one or two instances.--Fiddler 14:48, 11 April 2006 (PDT)

For the moment, I'd use the code you have labeled as "Portrait & Familiar - Long Style." The set of familiar winners is small enough that if/when we do find a prettier solution, it won't be too painful to go back through and change them.--Fiddler 05:15, 18 April 2006 (PDT)

Scribbling vs. vandalism

Uh, Sagacious? I think he made that page...Probably in January, when he made changes to the Estate page. (I'm not entirely sure, because "Colbalt Ocean" was deleted, so I can't see its history, but I don't see any edits by him in the recent changes log for the last 500 edits. It was a N page that appeared to have been created literally just now. When a page is deleted, its entries on the Recent Changes and User Contribution pages are wiped I believe. I added that comment just after that user made that page like just now ;-) --Sagacious 14:40, 29 April 2006 (PDT)

I originally omitted it because I opted to link it at the bottom instead. I see no point in including the line if there is a direct clicky link just a few lines below it.
