Azarbad trinkets

Actually all of them are setup except for the heart of fire one. However, we do need the colors for all of 'em (except for the standard green of course). So how you go about doing this is download the current colors version at Image:Colors_jewelled_dagger.png and edit it in a PNG editor to add the screenshots of the ones you mentioned. The heart of fire one I haven't done the standard all-green temporarily colors graphic because I haven't seen a screenshot showing its placement (darn thing is huge in the trinket graphic files). Let me know if you have further questions. The other two trinket files are similarly named. --Guppymomma 21:52, 10 June 2007 (PDT)

Yep. Just make sure to line up the pasted one to be in the same position as the green template one underneath. --Guppymomma 15:33, 11 June 2007 (PDT)
As I said above, I've already set up My trinket for all of them except for the heart of fire. You can scroll down on the image page and see where it's used. You can also view all of the My trinket templates that are done (doesn't mean the color charts are all done) at Category:My trinket templates --Guppymomma 19:31, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

Oh, one other bit. If you want to try to track a list of which colors haven't been done, you can always add the Azarbad trinkets to YPPedia:Wishlist#Trinkets (that reminds me, I should update that list as I think a few of those have been done). --Guppymomma 20:53, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

FYI, Template:My trinkets/Heart of fire. Just made the initial image for that one off of the two colors posted in the tips & tricks Azarbad thread. I'm not entirely convinced of the placement as the screenshot given had a different inventory border than what we use, but I believe it should suffice for wiki pages. --Guppymomma 16:01, 13 June 2007 (PDT)

Yellow is indeed yellow

More digging has been done: Talk:Trinket#Somewhat_major_change_to_brigand_king_trinkets_-_yellow_added. Thanks! --Guppymomma 20:46, 6 July 2007 (PDT)

Barrister's reporting that Ceph said it's just Azarbad. However, it sounds like from Eury that there exists the ability to do yellow ones of the others. In that case, just watch out in the future in case they turn on yellow for any of the others. --Guppymomma 08:39, 8 July 2007 (PDT)

"3D" trinkets & adminship

Welcome to adminship! There is already a system for the "3D" trinkets. Trying to dig up where the heck the example is.... First thing's first, for the medals & pins, I've been keeping track of what's done/what's not done over at Talk:Trinket#New_trinkets_(Medals_and_Pins). I've done a few of the 3D ones, but have suddenly realized that maybe we haven't totally incorporated the 3D's yet for my trinkets. I know it's there for my pets with the pet colors (like elephants). Anyhow, the crossed off ones on the talk page have color charts already done. The tertiary ones I guess are just waiting for the implementation of the tertiary color thing like in my pets. If you want to take a look at how that's done and think about how it could be added to my trinkets without breaking the already done two color system ones, that would be great and you can check with me on whatever you have questions about. I hope this is making sense. Here are some other useful reference links: Category:My_trinket_templates and Category:My_pet_templates. --Guppymomma 14:09, 28 August 2007 (PDT)

I reverted colorize trinket because the OM doll case was broken, didn't check others. See the note on the talk page. I also left one on Alfwyn's sandbox talk page. Hopefully between the two of you it can be figured out painlessly. --Guppymomma 10:26, 5 March 2008 (PST)
Alfwyn's interested in delving into the mysteries of the tertiary addition with you! Stroll on over to User talk:Alfwyn/Sandbox when your fellow internet users stop sucking up your bandwidth :). --Guppymomma 10:34, 5 March 2008 (PST)
Ahoy. Didn't know you did some work/thinking on 3 color trinkets already. The OM doll case was just a matter of two brackets too much. But I would like to discuss (best at my sandbox) where to put the third color (after or before the description). And finally, when 'My trinkets' with 3 colors works, I would need your help to pass the third color argument from my 'Infobox pirate' since that is protected. --Alfwyn 11:03, 5 March 2008 (PST)
Please stop making changes while we are still discussing how to do the changes. I didn't implement the code in my sandbox (was there for some ays now) in order to ask first and really would like other people to discuss before implementation too. Three color trinkets have been around a long time now, so 1 or 2 days not implementing them doesn't hurt much. --Alfwyn 04:57, 6 March 2008 (PST)
I will slowly add/complete the color charts for the three color trinkets in the next days. If you plan to do some, just drop me a note so we don't end up duplicating work. --Alfwyn 07:53, 8 March 2008 (PST)

I can...

especially when they have nothing to do with the Crew or Flag it is of.

Perhaps

But it doesn't stop me from doing it.

All's well

You're doing just fine. You don't have to revert his talk page though. As long as he doesn't continue to create fake rules about who may edit pages, then the message has been understood. If he continues to make false claims about who may edit, you can warn him about following the rules. If after the warning, it continues, block him for a week to reconsider his actions. --Guppymomma 09:45, 11 January 2008 (PST)

Images

Psst. You might want to use .png instead of .PNG in the filename in case we ever standardize the names :) --Guppymomma 12:20, 13 February 2008 (PST)

When you upload an image for the first time, the text you enter into the Summary field becomes the image description, with the first line of the summary being displayed on the history. Thus if you insert {{familiar image}} (or whatever) in the summary when you're uploading, it will automatically have the correct image tag on it. The catch is that you can't preview, so you need to make sure you spell it right the first time. Also, it doesn't work if you're uploading a new version of a pre-existing file. Just letting you know. =) --Belthazar451 06:01, 27 May 2008 (PDT)

Transparent Backgrounds

For a free program that lets you make invisible backgrounds in images, I've discovered the GNU Image Manipulation Program, or GIMP. It's a bit tricky to use sometimes, but it does the trick. --Belthazar451 15:39, 25 June 2008 (PDT)

CI Trinkets

Shogi is collecting CI trinket images, so you might want to hold off on the uploading and let him do it. He's certainly got more bone knife colours than you already. Just a heads up. =) --Belthazar451 14:08, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Ahoy! I discovered the trick to making new templates appear properly - push the edit button, then change the word "edit" in the URL to "purge" and push enter. That forces the wiki server to clear the cache without having to do a refresh bump edit. =) --Belthazar451 00:40, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
