Talk:Treasure chest

From YPPedia

This page may need to be renamed to "Chest", and then have "Treasure Chest" as a redirect, simply to maintain accurate verbiage. I've created the redirects for "Treasure Box" and "Locker" though. --Epimetheus (t/c) 06:23, 5 September 2007 (PDT)

Correction; since each item now has a clearly unique mass and volume, I've created separate articles for Chest, Locker, and Treasure Box and proposed deletion of Treasure chest. --Epimetheus (t/c) 23:19, 5 September 2007 (PDT)
I'd include all three infoboxes here, like was done for dye or appearance altering potions, and make the other pages into redirects. It seems more likely that an article would be talking about the generic term rather than the specific examples.--Fiddler 04:31, 6 September 2007 (PDT)
Moreover, "Chest" ought probably to be a disambiguation between this page and the furniture item. --Ruddigore 06:18, 6 September 2007 (PDT)

Trinkets in Treasure Chests

I thought I would just add this note to support what I saw pulled in as treasure from a successful Atlantis run I was involved with last night. We had a mate that was given a Sand Dollar during the booty division once we reached port.

[21:02:03] Treasure: Ninjacow received one Sand Dollar for outstanding Sailing.

At any rate I made a note on the article page in the infobox. I'm not sure which chest it came from but I know we had at least one of each type of chest at booty division. --Kgarrett1969 04:58, 6 September 2007 (PDT)
We divided and some people got pieces of cloth from the atlantheans from chests dont know which --gundusalvis 0:34 am 6 september 2007 GMT

Recieving CI type chests from regular brigand battles

I am working on a case where a user recieved some CI type boxes on a solo sloop pilly against regular brigands on a route from Sakejima Island to Prolix_Purlieu. Has anyone witnessed this?-- Haywoodx(t/c) 04:07, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm guessing they were chests lost to the brigands by someone who went to a Cursed Isle, then won back by the other pirate. --Belthazar451 04:13, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
No this was not a PVP battle, but I suppose a scenario might happen were a player ship lost some items to a bot vessel which then lost those items to another player vessel.-- Haywoodx(t/c) 04:17, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, that's exactly what I said, just with the clauses in a a different order. --Belthazar451 04:20, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
