Floor plans

The left facing crypt floor plan on the grandiose hall may have some inaccuracies. There's a lot of stuff hidden behind the stairwell (including at least one invisible prop) that made it unclear to me what was open back there. I got it as best I could, though. --Thunderbird 06:10, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

The stuff is there to stop people getting stuck behind things when they come up the stairs. The square cavity behind the stairs, incidentally, is a standable-on-but-occupied area of floor. It's simply inaccesible, what with there being a wall in the way. Same for the one in the Fine hall. --Belthazar451 12:15, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

A note on the East Grounds plan: I compared my notes to that of the Estate's garden prior to putting it in here...I originally had the pool and swamp as X's, but changed them to O's because the estate garden had its swamp as O's. --Thunderbird 01:45, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Just a note for this page: Please don't remove the actual floorplans themselves, just set plan## to "no" and the floorplan won't be parsed at all. --Thunderbird 13:05, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Editing trouble: page too big?

I can't edit this page. When I hit EDIT, I get the message: WARNING: This page is 30 kilobytes long; some browsers may have problems editing pages approaching or longer than 32kb. Please consider breaking the page into smaller sections. and when I try to "Preview" I get a completely blank screen. I haven't tried to directly "Save" it for fear of corruption. I started some new articles with just the floor plans: Fine pirate hall, Modest pirate hall, Stately pirate hall, Grandiose pirate hall. I don't want to be too BOLD and rework this article right away, because we could also go about this using transclusion. I noticed that Pirate hall/Grandiose already exists, so this may have been the intent in the first place. I don't like big image-heavy articles, I'm leaning more towards the multiple article approach. Thoughts? Chupchup 16:52, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Multiple articles sounds good to me. --Alfwyn 17:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
The problem is that the page has a ton of template variables in it, this is what is causing the page to go blank. A number of floorplans are hidden because of this. --Thunderbird 21:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
I replaced the floorplan section with pointers to those articles now. The grandiose article still has problems with all floorplans enabled. I'll experiment with moving floorplans to subpages, and only loading them if the users wants them shown. --Alfwyn 22:16, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
The problem seems to be gone with the upgraded mediawiki. I enabled all the existing floorplans for the grandiose hall, and while it took really long (20s-ish) for the edit to go through, it seems to display without problems now. --Alfwyn 10:08, 30 August 2011 (PDT)
