Spinnaker
Spinnaker is a fleet officer of the crew Zeta's Place and a member of the flag Choking Hazard. He sails the Viridian Ocean.
Biography
Spinnaker joined the Viridian Ocean in October 2005. While checking out this new game his son found to ensure it was 'acceptable', he became hooked.
Initially he joined Ocean Generals when the crew was joining the flag Requiem. Spinnaker had expressed enough 'out of the box' economic ideas to catch the attention of several others. He stayed on with Requiem after Ocean Generals left the flag.
He took over the governorship of Cochineal Island in early January 2006 until its transfer to Revelation in April. Looking to generate extra income for Requiem, due to Cochineal's unique situation at the time as the sole colonized island in the Garnet Archipelago, Spinnaker sent out a call for flagmates to 'invest'. This was a success - in the two months the scheme was active it generated 200K extra PoE for the flag and 64K for the investors. This was to Spinnaker's knowledge the first and only instance of a governor 'paying' pirates - the norm is to tax them horribly.
