Philippine Tarsier Bank is an upgraded bank on Alkaid Island on the Emerald Ocean.
History
The building was formerly called Kingkong and Shanghai Bank, and was owned by Perfecto.
The name of the bank followed the naming theme on Alkaid at the time, namely primates and related items. It was likely a reference to the following:
- The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), a large multi-national bank with branches across the world
- King Kong, a giant movie monster, resembling an enormous gorilla, that has appeared in various media since 1933.
- Shanghai, the reward points system which was replaced by rogue marks.
