Omgwtf, A.K.A. Paul Weber as his hearties call him, is a rising poker phenomenon who plays high-stakes No-Limit Texas Hold‘em on the Viridian Ocean. He has also been spotted doing ridiculously high wagers in swordfighting, some even over 500,000 PoE.

Background Information

Omgwtf is currently 17 piratey-years old and currently lives in Millbrook, Massachusetts, more commonly called Terra Island by foreigners. At the age of 4, he first fell in love with the game of poker when he watched his 4 uncles play a game of No-Limit Hold ‘em for Nickles & Dimes. He would play poker frequently on his Playstation 2 and would also watch WSOP (World Series of Poker) coverage on ESPN in his free time. When Omgwtf was 14 years of age, he discovered a small group of people who played poker with blinds of 50/100 PoE.

"Well it was my first real game with money, and I gotta tell ya, either I was some poker prodigy or those kids just sucked... I think I made around 3,000,000 in about an hour, yea something like that."

  Note: Omgwtf can be considered extremely arrogant at times.

Years later, it became very clear that indeed Omgwtf was some sort of poker genius, as he would play many games of poker with 20,000/40,000 PoE blinds with people who were of the legal age, and often times he would walk away with a wad of a thousand Doubloons stuffed in his pocket, which according to him would later be discovered by his mom or dad in the middle of the night.

"She was never mad about it, just concerned, she knew that at anytime I could go on a losing streak and come home one day with nothing. And she always told me the most important thing is to have fun, I mean I was 14 years old and already I was making enough money to support a family of three. By support, I mean buying gold clothing from Alexaleo's rack."

Everything seemed to be going well for the young poker player, until two years later when he realized what losing was all about.

"His name was Ike Dargon, A.K.A. Greendodge as his friends call him; he was a college kid home for the summer, and let me tell you that kid could play cards..."

Paul and Ike sat down at a pool table with their laptops in a friend's basement, and with about 30 speculators they began playing what would later be determined as the largest underground poker game ever recorded in Millbrook, Massachusetts (again, Terra Island).

"The blinds were 5000 and 10000 PoE, after about 30 minutes I was up about 5,000,000 PoE, I thought I was invincible, then in one hand I just lost everything..."

"Ike had duces and I had rockets, the flop came out a rainbow (2 3 A). I wasn't thinking about losing this hand, I was only thinking about the maximum money I could possibly get from him."

"Another duece dropped on the turn, and then a meaningless river fell; it didn't even occur to me he could be holding the nuts.. I went all in on the river and he called immediately, he turned over one duce and then he turned over another... I don't really remember what happened after that. I ended up losing 15,000,000 that night, which was nearly half of everything I had earned in the past two years."

It took Omgwtf two more years to make back what he had lost. He currently plays online poker at Lots of Goats and Clothing on Terra Island.

The Omgwtf CHALLENGE

Around 11 p.m. game time on July 9th, 2009, Omgwtf announced to the poker world of Y!PP that he wants to prove he is the greatest poker player alive today.

THE RULES • Heads up - No-Limit Hold ‘em • 1,000/2,000 blinds • 4 tables at a time • 50,000 hands • Once the stakes have been decided upon, they must stay the same for the entire challenge • Players must reload if their stack falls below 75 big blinds at any time

After 50,000 hands if Omgwtf has won more money, he keeps the winnings, if he loses he will give his opponent an additional 1.5 million PoE even if he is ahead by only 1 PoE

Challenge Accepted

Not too long after this challenge was announced, a player accepted it.. the legendary Tianx (A.K.A. PoEker Brat) has offered to play. When asked why, he said, "Because I have balls, something my opponent does not". Tianx has induced a state of fear in anyone who has ever read that statement to date.

Very early on July 11th, 2009, Silvermask accepted the "Omgwtf Challenge" as well. When asked how he felt about it, he replied, "I am going to win, because I'm winner, and I like to win, I have no doubt in my mind that I will win."

Later that same day, another poker prodigy Oosteve stated his lack of fear for Omgwtf by accepting the challenge via Kanye West's lyrics, "You ain't nothing but a gold digger."

Note: It is said that Omgwtf has heard of Oosteve's PhD quality poker and, as such, he fears the over-powering power that is classified as Oosteve more than anyone playing.
