Public Statement

Welcome you to the crew of 'Down the Drain'. We are about having a laugh and some fun and with due respect for our fellow pirates. However, we would appreciate if the following rules could be adhered to, so that everyone may have fun.

On behalf of the crew, I would like to thank you for sailing with 'Down the Drain'. We trust you will enjoy your pillages with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask myself or another officer.

Have a great day!

Baz.

Crew Articles

  1. Please do not ask to gun. This will be assigned by officer. It is important that we have a good gunner as this makes the battles easier to participate and therefore more money for all! :)
  2. Please do not beg. Repeating begging leads to a swift plank, no matter what your rank.

Promotion Requirements

Positions and their respective requirements are listed below:

  • Cabin Person: When you join you are a cabin person, but if you have worked hard on the pillage with us you will automatically be promoted to pirate, as long as you don't ask to gun.
  • Pirate: Good behaviour and a pirate badge.
  • Officer: Solids in carping, sailing and bilging, and solid gunning. Your standings on average should be at least Distinguished, preferably Respected. You will also be expected to know something about running a pillage. Loyalty to the crew and a maturity displayed will also be considered if the SO's or I think you are worthy of the position.
  • Fleet Officer: Same as officer, but also need the trust of the captain and SO's, and have shown to run profitable pillages and help recruit members. A boat will also be looked at.
  • Senior Officer: SO positions rarely come along, and when they do, applications will be open to anyone ranked officer or higher. Crew loyalty and trust of fellow SO's is extremely important and applications will always be assessed by a panel of the existing SO's and me.
