Public Statement

Welcome to "Dark Alchemy," and we welcome ye to join us and learn the secrets of immortality.

Crew Articles

Alchemy was a medieval and ancient practice which combined occult mysticism and chemistry. Essentially, alchemists tried to discover a formula where they could blend certain metals into gold, or where they could blend certain potions into an elixir of immortality.

So join us, and become pirates who can turn cannonballs into gold, and a crew's reputation into immortality.

Promotion Requirements

Please understand that the appropriate badges are required for promotion.

- Cabin Person: Simply participate in one pillage and ask to join as a full member when ported.

- Pirate: Have a 'narrow' or higher in gunning, and obtain a Pirate Badge for one doubloon at the Palace Shop.

- Officer: If ye have yer own ship, ye will be immediately promoted here, with the understanding that ye can only sail yer own ships; if ye are found sailing another's, ye will be demoted to Pirate. If ye don't have yer own ship, then ye can be promoted to an Officer when ye have three 'broads', one of them being in bnav.

- Fleet Officer: Having a ship is recommended. Trust is required. Don't have all 'able' stats. Having four 'broads' would better yer chances at getting here.

- Senior Officer: Trust. By now ye should have been with the crew for a while. Be decent in bnav. Of course, since we are a new crew, if ye have UBER stats, ye will be promoted here as an incentive for UBER people to join. =)

Rules for Everyone

NEVER leave the ship during a battle. Yer booty will be cut, and ye may be demoted.

DO NOT beg to gun or bnav. Ye can ask politely, though.

Please, please, please remember to team and reteam in swordfights and rumbles. If ye don't, I will dock yer booty (especially on sloops), and I will be angry with ye.

Rules for Crew Members

PTB is required to board sloops and merchant vessels. This can be done by saying, in the crew chat, "PTB <Vessel Name>", and will be replied with a "yea" or "nay." Don't bother OICs (Officers in Charge) with PTB requests if they don't answer right away.

Always restock ships that ye use.

Restocking Rules

These guidelines apply to all ships that don't have any other restocking preferences on their Officer Bulletins.

Sloop: 30 units of fine rum, 70 small cannonballs.

Cutter: 50 units of fine rum, 90 small cannonballs.

Dhow: 30 units of fine rum, 70 medium cannonballs.

Baghlah: 60 units of fine rum, 110 medium cannonballs.

Merchant Brig: 60 units of fine rum, 70 medium cannonballs.

War Brig: 100 units of fine rum, 140 medium cannonballs.
