Speciel pages

I'm deleting the Speciel pages you created. If you need a place to test things out, I recommend using the Sandbox. --Barrister 11:26, 27 August 2005 (PDT)

Thanks for contributing to the wiki. Everything looks great. The only concern I had was pages that began with the word "Speciel:". Those don't fit any of the existing naming schemes in the YPPedia. Other than that, it's all good. --Barrister 09:56, 28 August 2005 (PDT)

se?

Wikipedia doesn't have templates for se, do you think you could do the wording for a set of them for us? --Guppymomma 15:16, 27 August 2005 (PDT)

Wooo, you're learning well. Hmm, if you're looking for sweedish, the abbreviation is actually "sv" so if you switch to that instead of se, there are templates for it. As for Speciel pages, I think it was just something you accidentally did and I wouldn't worry about it, but please do feel free to play around with the Sandbox page. You can also "sign" your comments on talk/discussion pages by using the second to the last squiggly looking button at the top of the edit box. the --~~~~ is automatically turned into a signature when you save. --Guppymomma 08:24, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
I think some of your questions can be answered at the language help page. The codes we use are a standardized code set, there's a link on the help page. Also, you don't need to add code-N templates because the plain code template does it. --Guppymomma 08:35, 28 August 2005 (PDT)

Housing Wishlist

Just FYI, here's the spot where we're tracking what pics we still need (along with other stuff we need): YPPedia:Wishlist#Housing. Housing pics should be complete with no people or furniture in them. See estate for some examples. Other requirements/advice are on the wishlist link. Thanks for checking into housing pics! --Guppymomma 11:29, 2 September 2005 (PDT)

Yes, some pictures are better than no pictures :) There are some weird image difficulties, so maybe if you name your images according to the wishlist specifications and add Temp- to the front of them, that will help whenever someone can get pictures without furniture. I know that Yaten's got the left-facing manor pictures that he'll be uploading soon. Wheeee! --Guppymomma 11:34, 2 September 2005 (PDT)

The pictures look good. Generally we've been uploading full-sized pictures. The wiki software creates thumbnails when we specify a different size of the image be used on a page, so it won't make looking at the article a long download for dialup users. When they click on the thumbnail, they're taken to the full-sized image page and that allows them to obsessively stare at things in detail. (You can also just respond to this conversation right here since I watch for additional comments via the Recent changes link to the left after initiating any conversation.) Thanks for doing those pics! --Guppymomma 13:22, 2 September 2005 (PDT)

Ooh. I wan't sure whether to upload full size or small size pictures. So 1600x1200 pixels is not a problem? I have all the originals saved
That's an option, but for now the image uploading stuff is all a bit out of wack anyway. I'd go ahead and upload them though. If possible, try to save them in an optimized PNG-8 form (if you don't have a program that can do this, I can do it for you). – Yaten talk 14:53, 2 September 2005 (PDT)
I uploaded full size optimized PNGs - are these ok or should I email you some psp, tif or emf files, Yaten? Added Gateways to Cabin and Shack, and added all Left Row House pictures in full size, including the Gateway I didn't add earlier. --Lionizer 15:45, 3 September 2005 (PDT)
The Walk-Up changed names to Row House an update or two ago and it would be better if the images were named Left-Row_House rather than the no longer true name of Walk-Up. --Guppymomma 17:39, 3 September 2005 (PDT)

Your "manor" pictures are actually of a mansion (we already have the right-facing mansion pictures). I'm going to delete them. --Guppymomma 17:35, 3 September 2005 (PDT)

Gentoo

Ah ha! It took me a moment to figure it out, you're missing closing tags for the Penguin Power linking. Just add those and it should work fine. --Guppymomma 11:48, 3 September 2005 (PDT)

Yeah, I found it too. Sorry to bother :) I added the other flag too. I'm SO excited. Gonna be fun fun fun :) --Lionizer 11:49, 3 September 2005 (PDT)
No bother at all, I'm glad you figured it out and that you added pages for the two flags. Very cute event flag names! --Guppymomma 11:58, 3 September 2005 (PDT)
This is the second event blockade. Tuxedo (wiki tuxedo) and Evil Gentoo something have been around quite a while now, but you should definitely come tomorrow and see all the new stuff they coded :) --Lionizer 14:01, 3 September 2005 (PDT)

Eieio

Looks like I'm a bit late responding (I've been out all day), but Eieio is certainly fully colonized now. We just use the term partially-colonized for islands that have ongoing construction. – Yaten talk 17:16, 2 January 2006 (PST)

Lionizer verses User:Lionizer

Ahoy mate! Thought I'd clear up your confusion - the page Lionizer is for information on the pirate character Lionizer that you play, and all his ingame exploits. The page User:Lionizer is for information on the man behind the pirate. Hope that helps! --Featherfin 11:34, 13 June 2006 (PDT)
