The Tribal Alliance was a flag on the Hunter Ocean. Founded on May 14th, 2006, by Jonseagull, it came to life only 14 short days after the crew, The Rebel Alliance was formed. Begun as part two of a six step plan, it was designed to serve as the centerpiece of what it's creator's dreamed would be an oceanwide empire.

Borrowing liberally from Star Wars lore for its theme, The Tribal Alliance was intended to instill further enjoyment of Puzzle Pirates by adding a role-playing backstory to its reason for becoming a flag.

Originally it was intended that a second, as yet to be created crew, to become known as The Academy, would be created to join the flag. The Academy would be the primary training crew for the flag. However, the sudden original growth of the original crew and flag, forced the founder's to start a second crew named The Royal Flush instead.

After a brief growth spurt, the creator, Jonseagull, found that by allowing the flag to be ruled oligarchically he had let loose a monster that now ranged freely beyond his control. The royalty and captains of crews that had joined the flag began to force it to go in directions that were never originally intended by its creator.

In an effort to quell the uprising, King Jonseagull abdicated his throne, and installed a queen, one of his trusted captains, Mommymonkey. For a time things settled into place but now the ex-king found that his creation was drifting further and further from his original desires.

Shortly therafter, Jonseagull left the flag to its own devices and went off to form what was originally to have been step one of his plan, the crew known as The Academy.
