Usage

These usage notes will not be included in articles bearing this template.

This template is used for creating a link directly to a clothing item on the sorted-by-type clothing lists. The correct syntax is {{cl|clothing name|clothing type}}. The template will display clothing name exactly as written in the text, but link to the correct anchor on the relevant clothing page. The parameter is not case-sensitive, but note that since clothing name will appear as-is on the page, it should be written with the case appropriate to the context.

The clothing type parameter must have one of the following four values, exactly as written here:

• hats
• torso
• legs
• feet

The template originally had a third parameter to indicate gender, but later modifications made this unneccesary, as clothing of the same name now appears on the same line, regardless of gender. The paramater may still be found in use, but it is simply ignored.

This template both makes linking simpler, and enables easy modification of links later should the wiki standards change. To give an example, to link to the boots, the template call is {{cl|boots|feet}}, and this would link to Clothing (feet)#Boots but display as boots.
