Talk:Event E2/Proposal Flib
I point you to Champagne Cruise Banner Contestfor the Key West Parrrty. Admittedly it was mainly meant for those going to the Parrrty, while yers is an open contest.
hmm... i had forgotten about that. I will have to add a twist to it. this might point me in the direction of fiddlers idea below... [Flib]
Real or image?
Will these be real (cloth) flags? Or simply image designs for flags? Jacquilynne / Jasandrea
i was thinking image designs but photos of real cloth ones could be good too. That is, unless i follow down the route of fiddler's idea below.[Flib]
Existing flag graphics?
Would restricting designs to the existing flag graphics (\Program Files\games\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\rsrc\bundles\media\yohoho-general\media\yohoho\flags) improve your contest idea any? It's an idea I had for a contest but I won't have the time to run it during the time-frame of this contest.--Fiddler 14:28, 16 January 2006 (PST)
that is an interesting idea that i will have to think about before the end date.[Flib]
Submission Question
Could entrants not just post their pictures of said flags to the event thread? /me points to photobucket.com (nifty web host for pictures)
i was wondering whether to just have it as posting into the thread or emailing to me. Another thing to think about before the end date. [Flib]
In general email submissions are used to keep the submissions anonymous from the judges. They will be more work for you, but may be helpful to avoid bias during judging. I recommend email submission if you plan to have a very large prize, like a familiar or furnniture animal. If your prizes are mid-value trinkets, you can lighten the workload for yourself by allowing participants to post their entries in the forum. --Squashbuckle 00:24, 19 January 2006 (PST) well that would make sense I guess. I will change it to posting in a thread unless I get shortlisted and a larger prize is suggested. [Flib]
existing flag graphics
i decided fiddler's idea was a good one and changed the event to using the existing graphics Flib/Flibber
