I'm uncomfortable having a redirect from a misspelling. I'm concerned people will link to the misspelled entry. Comments? --Barrister 00:13, 5 November 2005 (PST)

There is a redirect template for misspellings. I know I've seen someone delete a previous misspelling redirect (Buoy or Bouy, forget which one was the redir) with the message "never create a redirect for a spelling error" before. If we don't want to encourage redirects for misspellings, we should probably get rid of that redirect template and update the Redirects page. I will note that it is rather common for people to use "dub" as shorthand for doubloon. --Thunderbird 00:32, 5 November 2005 (PST)
