Outdated Status
This crew's infobox information is outdated as it is over 3 months old. At the bottom, it is listed as part of the category Outdated Crew Information. Why when I pull up this category page is it not listed there? Is this a bug or some part of the system I am missing? --Muffynz 19:14, 22 May 2006 (PDT)
- It does now ;). --Thunderbird 19:21, 22 May 2006 (PDT)
- I found a couple other crews with similar situations of not being on the category list but having obviously outdated information. Was this one added because it was bumped when I edited the talk page? I was to understand they automatically were filed on the outdated cat page when their info box read more than 3 months old. --Muffynz 19:26, 22 May 2006 (PDT)
- I bumped it by adding a single space at the very end of the article and marking the edit as minor. More often than not, this causes said edit to not show up on Recent Changes. --Thunderbird 19:36, 22 May 2006 (PDT)
- Ok, so addition to the category page isn't automatic. It only happens if the page is updated while the infobox (or whatever determining factor for other categories) is not and is out of date. Gotcha. Good to know, thanks! --Muffynz 19:40, 22 May 2006 (PDT)
- Hm, that's disappointing. The automatic out-of-date information was the impetus for making that part of the template in the first place. :/ --AtteSmythe 14:31, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
- It does automatically add crews/flags to the outdated category once they pass 3 months. The problem seems to be updating the category page. The outdated crew/flag page needs to be bumped without the infobox date being changed for the page to show up on the oudated crew/flag list pages. Seems to be the same reason you all had to bump the crews/flags after you assigned ocean categories. Is there any way around this or them's the breaks?--Muffynz 23:15, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
- It's usually just an issue with the wiki cache. You could always check "What Links Here" from the templates listed to see if there's anything linking to them. --Thunderbird 23:29, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
