History

The crew was founded on June 18, 2004 by Xplosiv and Jip, formerly of Easily Distracted. Runnin Free was captained by Xplosiv until early 2005 when she and several other mates departed to join Death or Glory. Jip assumed the captaincy until August 2005, when Shroom took over. Jip later reclaimed the captain's hat in February 2006. Having many trans-Atlantic mates, the crew prided itself on its European roots and frequent brig pillages in GMT friendly hours.
