- Black box sea monster maps no longer dust prematurely.
- Blockades that cross over a server reboot will now resume 5 minutes after the reboot rather than getting stuck indefinitely.

- Renamed 'Influence Cap' to 'Ship Budget' to make it clear that this is not based solely on ship influence rings.
- Added more validation to event blockade ship types.
- Disposable ships are now untradeable and unwagerable.
- Station abandon messages should now send all at once, rather than one at a time with a delay.

- Event blockades can now define an influence cap and custom ship costs.
- The "currently used" influence display now has a tooltip that lists all ship costs.
- /freeship now accepts more name formats and abbreviations like WF, WB.
- Dismiss messages should no longer appear when leaving a citadel or graveyard.
Ice Release 2025-12-17
This update is focused on fixing blockade issues from last weekend. A larger scale test may be announced on discord if needed, but for now:
- Server reboot should no longer hide pending blockades.
- Ships should no longer teleport unexpectedly during blockades.
- Added a /freeship command to create a disposable vessel that vanishes after its first use and does not require stock.
- Removed the subscriber requirement to access Ice.
Ice Release 2025-12-12
- Fixed crash when familiar sort order is used in a way we didn't expect.
- Added more missing pet colors.
- Adjustments to how some pet colors are extracted. Humunculus, elephant, and others should now display correctly.
- Dismiss messages should now display during a skirmish, rather than after you exit.
- Bnav zoom now only happens if you hold control down, to prevent accidental zooming.
- Bnav zoom level is now remembered per view type (normal or bird's eye).

- Using a paint brush now tells you the current paint color in that scene.
- Station abandon messages are now slightly less spammy.
- Customizing familiars with no familiars no longer crashes.
- Accounts created via steam should no longer warn you about an insecure password.

- Fixed trinket category width.
- Daily age info has been extended to swords, mugs, and bludgeons.

- Abandoning a station now only announces if you do not retake it within a few seconds.
- Gunning sessions can now be rated after 7 seconds instead of 15.
- You can no longer forage while at sea.
- You can no longer duty navigate while in battle.
- The restart button now works in CI and expedition foraging.
- Clothing and chart age now use days instead of percent.
- Item names are no longer cut off when they wrap to a new line in the booty tab.

This was harder than expected, so it didn't make it into yesterday's release.
- Pet names now include color information the same way familiars do.

- Currency inputs now bind to the max value as they used to.
- The familiars section on your pirate page is now hidden when empty.
- Removed "Restart" button from tutorial vessels.
- Added protection against restarting a duty puzzle while leaving the vessel.
- Pets and familiars now show whether they are named or not in the tooltip.
- Sea monster map island and distance moved to the tooltip.
- Restationing during a break no longer erases your progress.
Ice Release 2025-11-30
- Attempted fix for the "high side sword" bug.
- Trade window currency input now lets you finish typing before reformatting.
- Currency inputs now allow more formats like 1k5, 2m3, etc.
Ice Release 2025-11-29
- Update furniture group handling. Furniture tabs are now grouped by more reliable checks. This may still require further refinement, but at least now it doesn't rely just on the item name.
- Show precise item age. 45% instead of showing as “goodâ€.
- Show island name and distance in SMH map titles.
- Add course length hint to the chart course interface.
- Add a "Restart" button to duty puzzles, allowing you to reset the board without manually abandoning and re-taking the station.
- Enable scroll wheel zoom for the chart view, and allow click-and-drag to pan around.
- Enable scroll wheel zoom for the bnav board.
- Fix a bug that allowed changing oceans while waiting for Steam auto-login.
- Keep the blockade notice board time displays up to date, so you no longer need to close and re-open it to see accurate time remaining.
- Announce blockade round starts the same as blockade starts, making it easier for players to know when they can re-enter.
- Add a confirm dialog when closing the client. This can be disabled from the dialog itself or enabled from the general settings tab.
- Show player disconnects to the whole vessel, not just the same scene.
- Display a different color bubble for any shop you own or manage when viewing the island map. This does not apply to stalls, which are already highlighted differently.
- Update fray messages to include enemy count even when there is just one challenger.
- Add familiar display settings: Top, secret, and sort order.
- Treasure drop is now droppable again.
- Trophy page boxes can now be added as usual.
Release 2025-09-26 We are testing out a new version of Ice that automatically installs a new version of Java when it launches. Please provide feedback on any issues you encounter, either on Discord or with a bug report. Thank you! Release 2025-05-30
The following requests from Discord have now been implemented:
- Added a ton of new options for Crew Titles to choose from
- Added a Flotilla chat mode, similar to the Blockade chat mode
- Increased the size and quality of Portrait previews. The largest portrait previews will still be scaled down a bit, in order to better fit inside the panel.
- The sky color will now change when Ghosts are roaming an island, similar to other monsters
- Vessel auto-targeting will now default to OFF
- All building managers will be cleared whenever a deed changes hands
- The Vampire doll and Mother O'Nyght doll will now correctly be listed under "Dolls" instead of "Odds & Ends"
- Removed garlic amulet from the Palace Shoppe, since it's already in the trading post for trinket trade in
- The furniture section of the inventory panel will now be divided into subgroups. This will be an ongoing work-in-progress as we update the sorting criteria for our many different types of furniture items.

Release 2025-05-06
Test sword 49 is now available in the Palace Shoppe for testing and feedback. This is a suggested buff to test sword 41's drop pattern.
