Game concept
A form of tetris, where blocks in two alternating colors fall, where a filled row would allow a needle to pass through a row on a weaving loom.
Objective
To clear the board as many times as possible.
Gameplay
Blocks of five total squares, similar to those used in carpentry, would fall from the top of the screen. The player would move and rotate them using the controls of swordfighting. The square tiles on the blocks would be alternating green and orange, with green symbolizing weaving above a strand of thread on the loom, and orange symbolizing weaving under. The player would get bonus points if they were able to have the colors in the row alternate. Once a row is finished, then a needle will go through that layer and that row will be weaved.
Scoring
Scoring is determined on a curve. The ratio for points is 1:15:10, where 1 stands for every block placed, 15 stands for every row weaved, and 10 as a bonus for every row completed with the alternating stitches.
Variability
Some pieces will be wild, and will act as orange or green. Others will be able to change the colors of pieces already played so that they match.
End criteria
That game ends when the time is up.
Difficulty scaling
As players get better, more colors will be added to the board.
Crafting type
Weaving
