Crew Ranks
Rank requirements are as follows:
Cabin Person: punishment or by request only, also given if you go dormant (your rank will be restored upon your return to the game)
Pirate: once you join the crew you will be appointed this rank.
Officer: Must have broad in sails and/or rigging, carp, bilge, and guns. Must also have at least 2 proficients (in sails, carp, bilge, guns, dnav and/or bnav) and at least narrow bnav. Must also participate in officer training to ensure you can successfully run a pillage. Possessing a ship deed is also helpful. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the captain only for this rank.
Fleet Officer (FO): This position is at the discretion of the Captain. It is for those who have been with the crew for a while and have proven they are trustworthy. FOs must meet officer requirements and be willing to help train new officers. Additionally if you are recruiting for the crew, this position is never to be given or promised to someone who has just joined without the Captain's permission.
Senior Officer (SO): The most trusted by the captain, and the most loyal to the crew. Also the most helpful to the captain. SOs actively run pillages and other activities for the crew as well as help train new officers and help recruit for the crew. As with FO, this position is never to be given or promised to someone just joining the crew without the permission of the captain.
DO NOT ASK FOR PROMOTIONS!!!! (They are given when we see that you deserve them.)

Rules
- Please ask PTB (permission to board) before boarding any ship that is sailing. Failure to do so may result in being planked or demotion in extreme cases.
- Any officer abandoning a ship at sea with jobbers on board will be immediately demoted or possibly expelled. This looks bad on the crew if we leave our jobbers stranded, and abandoning them is not tolerated. Addtionally, any ship being used for pillaging must be unlocked during the pillage so that if for some reason the commanding officer disconnects or must be afk, another officer can take charge and get the ship to port. The ship may be locked again once it's in port.
- Those wishing to gun on any voyage must ask permission to do so before taking a gunning station. In many cases, the commanding officer may have certain ranks they look for and/or may already have gunners. Failure to ask to gun first may result in you being planked if we have to ask for you to get off the gunning station numerous times and you do not.
- While pillaging you are expected to perform your duties. Lazing will not be tolerated. In addition if you can not stay for the length of the pilly check with the commanding officer before getting on the ship to see if it's ok that you leave early. Those leaving during battle will be given a minus 1 on booty division as this puts the crew in a bind (especially if it causes us to be shorthanded).
- Respect your fellow crew members (no matter what rank) and those who either you are jobbing for or those who are jobbing with us. We have a ZERO tolerance policy on arguments within crew chat. If you argue in crew chat you will be warned and if it does not stop, demoted or expelled. It makes the crew look bad.
- If you use someone else's ship first, be sure to leave it either on the same island you found it or at the very least in the same arch and make sure to restock it before you log off. Check the officer bulletin board to see what restock requirements the ship owner has. If there are none, restock it to at least what was there when you boarded the ship.
- If you are an officer in the crew and another officer is running a pillage, be sure to let them do their job (including but not limited to: jobbing, charting, navving, pressing the sail button or any other buttons to enter expeditions) unless specifically asked to do those things, XO or MAA. Failure to do so may result in demotion and/or being planked.
- When completing any voyage, be sure to offer jobbers a chance to join the crew as a full member.
- Do not ask for promotions. Those are given at the discretion of the captain and higher ranked officers when she deems necessary. Also, no one is to be promoted above officer without the captain's permission.
- Do not spam, beg or defame any other crew member in crew chat. This is NOT tolerated and will cause either demotion or being expelled as well as possibly planked if you are doing so on a ship. Any tarting or not so clean joking chat should be taken to either /officer chat or tells when jobbers are in the crew.
- We are commanding crew in a flag. With this in mind please be sure to invite fellow flag members on voyages by either posting in fo chat (/fo) or having a royal flag broadcast for you.
