The fine print:

The first egg, trinket, and trophy will be delivered to the pirate/ocean of your entry.
The second egg can go to a pirate/ocean of your choice, as long as the pirate is on the same account.
If you already have the trophy and would like to display it on a different pirate, you can request this—as long as the pirate is on the same account.
To request a different ocean/pirate for your second egg or trophy, submit a petition "FAO Clotho" after the winners are announced.

Deadline: Submit your eggscellent designs by Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM game time (Pacific). Don't scramble—start designing!

Rules

There have been some updates to the rules (so please read them carefully).

The uploaded image file name must include your pirate name and ocean, and this info must also appear in your post.
You can submit up to 8 designs.
Your design must be original—you must create it yourself.
- No copyrighted material is allowed.
- If your design is based heavily on a reference, please acknowledge it in your post.
- No need to acknowledge any game art if used as inspiration or reference material.

📌 Image Requirements

Both a flat entry and a rendered entry are required.
The flat entry must be exactly 256 × 256 pixels, and the rendered file must be 33 × 40 pixels (do not scale after exporting). Both files must be in .png format.
Use the following naming format for your files:

Flat entry: File:Egg-flat-2026-PirateName-Ocean-Design_Name.png

Rendered entry: File:Egg-rendered-2026-PirateName-Ocean-Design_Name.png

Important:

The design name you choose is most likely to appear in-game if your entry wins. Avoid generic names like "ocean1" or "egg2026"—these wouldn’t make sense in-game. The ocean listed determines where your copies and the trophy (if you don't already have one) will be delivered if your design is chosen as a winner.

Each year, three of the winning eggs are designated as event-only, meaning they can only be won in competitions or tournaments and cannot be purchased in the Palace Shoppe. If you'd like to express a preference for how your egg is distributed (should it win), please choose one of the following and add it in the "Event-Only Preference" section of your post:

- "I want my egg(s) to be event-only."

- "I have no preference."

- "I don’t want my egg(s) to be event-only."

If no preference is stated, your egg may be assigned at the arrrtists’ discretion. You may also add any additional notes here if needed.

Please use this format when posting your submission in the entry page. Each flat image should be paired with its rendered version on the same line, as shown below:

Basic Guidelines

Seamless Designs

Your design should wrap smoothly around the egg—avoid ugly seams! Test it first to make sure it’s seamless.
- How to test: Place two copies of your design side by side and check for any visible seams.
- While seamless designs are encouraged, a minor seam is acceptable if the egg still looks good when rendered.
- If you just can't get rid of a seam, but your design still looks great, submit your entry anyway!

Things to Keep in Mind

🐣 Egg shape matters! A design that looks great in a square might look odd when wrapped around an egg.

🌟 Details may fade in the rendering process. The scene also burns out the details, so make the whole thing slightly darker than you would think. Slightly!

🎯 Keep it simple! Eggs are small in-game, so bold and clear designs work best.

🔄 The arrrtists may adjust the rotation of your design in the final version to ensure it looks its best in-game!

How to Submit for Rendering:

📌 Go to the Egg Rendering channel on Discord and post your flat designs using this file naming format:

Yourname-Eggname#_skin.png

The # represents your version number if you submit multiple versions.
