Public Statement

Ahoy Matey, This be Chaos Theory, YARGH!!! All are welcome to join our crew. Our crew works together as a team (not optional). Teamwork = Booty! Booty is fun. Any disrespect to any crew member or jobber will get ye expelled / planked.


TEAMING in SEA BATTLE

  • Team in 2 and 3's only
  • The pirate you are fighting is highlighted in white.
  • If the pirate you are fighting has one dot beside it or more than 3, move to (click on) a different pirate to fight.
  • Fight skull daggers, scimitars and cleavers last. Falchions second last.

NEVER FIGHT A PIRATE BY YOURSELF AND NEVER FIGHT WITH MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE ON ONE PIRATE.

JOBBERS: All are welcome to job with us. Terms for being planked:

  • Not teaming
  • Not obeying orders
  • Sword fighting, drinking, treasure drop on the vessel
  • Lazing


GENERAL RULES: Have fun but be mature. Childishness will get you expelled.

  • PTB: Ye now must ask for permission to board any vessel with only one person on it. (example "PTB the Sincere Silverside?") Ye may be planked otherwise.
  • Please keep chatter during battle to a minimum. When we fight imps it is especially of key importance that we all perform well at our stations and see orders immediately. Please save the talk for after battle and in port.
  • Battles are won or lost through teaming, so we need to enforce the teaming rule. If you don't team during battles, you may lose your share of the booty.
  • Please do not send a /tell to the ship captain (Commanding Officer) unless it's an emergency.


PROMOTION / RANK

CABIN PERSON: Be productive and not annoying

PIRATE: Subscribe

OFFICER: You must have BROAD in Bilge, Sails and Carpentry and NARROW in Gunnery. Ye must be recommended for training by a Senior Officer. (Some rare exceptions may be made only at the Captains discretion). Ye must also own a sloop stocked for training (10 rum / 20cb's).

FLEET OFFICER: Once ye been in the game at least a month ye may be considered for fleet officer. This is a position of trust and will be on a case by case basis.

SENIOR OFFICER: SO’s are appointed at the Captains discretion and will only be appointed when the officer training workload exceeds the capabilities off the current Senior Officer staff.
