Help:XML files
XML files are used by Yohoho Tools to build distinct scenes similar to those found in-game. With the release of furniture and housing in August 2005, Yohoho Tools was used increasingly to plan and create custom furniture arrangements without spending PoE or causing furniture decay in-game. To assist users in planning furniture arrangements, the YPPedia stores replica scenes for many in-game locations, including houses, ships, and shoppes.

Using YPPedia to download XML files
All XML file download links are listed on a page linked from different locations, depending on the type of scene. House and ship scenes are linked from the infobox containing vital information about each type of house or ship. Shoppe scenes are linked from a "See also" section.
Downloading house/shoppe scenes
House scenes are divided into indivdual files for each room of both left- and right-facing houses and shoppes. Beneath the room name header is a bulleted link to a YPPedia page containing the XML you will be downloading. On that YPPedia page, there will be a grey box containing the XML. Highlight the XML (everything from the opening <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> tag to the closing </scene> tag). Copy this text, and paste it into a text editor of your choice. Save the file with a distinctive name of your choice with a .xml filename extension. For example, you might choose to name an XML file representing a right-facing cottage attic "Right-facing cottage attic.xml" Once saved to your computer, the file can be opened in Yohoho Tools.
Downloading ship scenes
Ship scenes, like house scenes, are divided into individual files for each scene of a ship. Under the "Rooms and Furnishings" section, inside the "Floor Plan" box is a bulleted link to a YPPedia page containing the XML you will be downloading. For example, you might choose to name an XML file representing the main deck of a war frigate "War frigate Main deck.xml" Once saved to your computer, the file can be opened in Yohoho Tools.
Troubleshooting
If you discover an incorrect link or a mislabeled/broken XML file, post in the YPPedia Community forum with a thread detailing the problem, and a YPPedia editor will fix it.
