The Cobalt Empire was a successful flag, founded in January 2009 by Jop. It has since disbanded, after the Cobalt Empire Mutiny.

Cobalt Empire Mutiny

The Cobalt Empire mutiny was a schism that occurred within the flag Cobalt Empire. The royalty became corrupt, changing the booty share of pillages to its maximum of 30%, in contrast to the 15% it had been previously, and changed the division system to The Cruel Shelf. It was topped off when Dudez joined the flag, became royalty and senior officer within days, and was rude to the cabin people. After the king, Jop, refused to discipline Dudez, the flag broke apart into anarchy.

Three of the main players within the flag used this opportunity to create their own crews. Of the three, only one still stands, the Hounds of Cobalt.
