- He shows a great diversity of extremely useful edits that need doing that no one else seems to be willing to do. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 08:00, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- Hawkings' editing & English skills coupled with enthusiastic wiki participation are all highly desirable assets in an admin. His attitude, in regards to being both willing to work and willing to learn, is a big bonus as well. --Guppymomma 08:02, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- I concur with the aforementioned statements. Hawkins has contributed many fine edits in numerous categories and has a great combination of leadership skills and editing knowledge to bring to an admin position for the wiki. In other words: Heartily endorse yadda, yadda, yadda... --Muffynz
- See my comments above. Strongly support! -- Cedarwings (t/c) 11:47, 25 August 2007 (PDT)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
- A. Helping keep Category:Candidates_for_speedy_deletion cleaned up as well as watch for articles that probably don't need to be deleted. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- B. I anticipating using the rollback feature to remove vandalism and unnecessary edits. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- C. Continue to act as the "Patron Saint" of Crew information pages especially in the area of merging duplicate entries. I anticipate this would include helping maintain the protected crew infobox template. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- D. Helping with the removal of old versions of YPPedia images that can be removed after new version have been uploaded.
- E. Any other area that may need an Administrator as a sponser to oversee and guide other editors. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to YPPedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. {{Infobox crew}} (Usage) template - I origianlly set up this template, which has since become one of the most used templates of the YPPedia. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- B. Carpentry Tutorial - I receive great pleasure that this article has helped many pirates improve their carpentry skills. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- C. Crew Sample Page - I redesigned this to be easier for new editors to be able to easily set up crew articles that follows informal standards for crew pages. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- D. Foot Brawl 2006 Trinket Color Chart - This one was not difficult but I'm proud of it because it took a lot of perserverance and coordination with pirates from all the oceans to get this buit. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
- E. Category:Outdated Crew Information - Probably my single greatest contribution to the YPPedia has been updating out of date crew pages. I've not only been updating information but I have also been implementing standard formatting, adding relavent history, cleaning up poor grammar, adding missing information and generally trying to enhance crew articles in general. I have easily updated well over 500 crew pages during my editing career. --Kgarrett1969 05:19, 23 August 2007 (PDT)
