Article delections
Scant content is not valid grounds to propose an article for deletion. If the pirate or crew article is properly formatted then it should be tagged as a stub, not for deletion.--Fiddler 11:51, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Standard Infobox Removals
Ahoy there mate. I have noticed you've been editing and working on imporving pirate pages. I commend you for your efforts but you should know that lack of portraits is not a reason to remove a pirate infobox. As a standard template they should not be removed from a pirate's page once they have been set up even if most of it is not there. In the case of Dracowolfe, including the infobox for the purpose of displaying his rat is appropriate. For all we know he may very well be very proud of his rat. He did name it after all. At any rate I replaced the infobox on his page and corrected it so that it displayed correctly. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line and welcome to the editing community. --Kgarrett1969 12:22, 9 November 2006 (PST)
As above. Thanks for the help mate =) --Flamer 11:44, 10 November 2006 (PST)
On the removal of goals from a pirate page
To paraphrase Fiddler's message to another user: The article Flamer is not "your page." It is an article in the YPPedia about the pirate Flamer, and as such it belongs to and is editable by everybody. User:Flamez911 is your page for you to do with as you like, so long as you abide by the Terms of Service. Goals are not encyclopedic and do not belong on a pirate's page. Feel free to add them to your User page. Any edits I made to condense the bio into a format more in keeping with other YPPedia pirate pages can, of course, be reverted back to how they appeared previously. That doesn't mean someone else won't come along and edit the page again. This isn't like Myspace where you can create a page however you like and it stays that way, untouched. This is a community of editors where people can and will edit. --Lilly 10:15, 7 January 2007 (PST)
- The quote you used doesn't apply to this situation. It was stated elsewhere that personal pirate goals are not acceptable for pirate pages. I will find it and link it for you when I have extra free time. --Lilly 15:30, 8 January 2007 (PST)
- One of the quotes I was thinking of:
- Ahoy mate! Please do not remove the {{cleanup}} tag until the article has been brought up to YPPedia standards. The reason it was tagged, was because the article contains some sections that are non-encyclopaedic or irrelevant to the pirate in question (current goals and wiki contributions), and that are against YYPedia policies (list trophies and list of standard named ships). I suggest that you visit YPPedia:Policies and guidelines and YPPedia:Style guide if need further information and sample pirate pages. Fair winds! --Arminius 12:32, 2 January 2007 (PST)
- from User_talk:Emporermagic. There is another one out there somewhere. --Lilly 15:47, 8 January 2007 (PST)
- One of the quotes I was thinking of:
YPP - Your Purdy Pimps
I've moved the contents of the page over to YPP- Your Purdy Pimps and rolled back YPP - Your Purdy Pimps to the last version about the defunct flag.
Did you know, you can manually roll back pages even without being an admin? Simply click the history tab, select the date of the last good version, and click the edit tab on the new page. Ignore the warning message, fill in an appropriate comment, and you're done! Thanks --Nicksterv (t/c) 12:28, 14 December 2007 (PST)
