Truth be Told was founded on 9 December, 2005.
Public Statement
Welcome to Truth be Told (TbT). We are always looking for skilled, fun-loving pirates. We're an active, growing crew with lots of pillaging! Join now and you'll get in early on a great crew.
JOBBERS PLEASE READ: Our officers are hard-working and expect you to be, too. Lazers aren't tolerated, meaning more booty for those who do work. Ask questions if you have them - we're a friendly bunch.
How NOT to get -1: Above all - stay aboard in battle! If you have to leave the ship outside of battle, just kindlly let the officers aboard know and you won't get -1.
WE ARE ACTIVELY RECRUITING OFFICERS! Required stats: Solid/Master in ANY four of the eight Piracy puzzles, a ship helps but is not necessary.
Crew Articles
- You are expected to respond to calls for crew pillage.
- No begging.
- Listen to the officer in charge (OIC) at ALL times on board a ship.
- DO NOT ask to gun or navigate. The OIC assigns these duties.
- No tells to the bnaver in battles. It might lose us the fight.
- DO NOT spam crew chat, officer chat or flag officer chat. English please.
- TEAM in melee. Ask if you do not know how.
- Stay onboard in battle unless it is a real emergency. Expect minus if u leave.
- When aboard a vessel, WORK as assigned or get planked.
Promotion Requirements
Promotions are not automatic, the requiements are minimum. Please understand the difference between your Stats and Experience when working for a promotion, and it is what you have on *this* pirate that counts.
Stat: (How good you are) Able, Distinguished, Respected, Master, Renowned, Grand-Master, Legendary, Ultimate
Experience: (How many times have you been playing) Novice, Neophyte, Apprentice, Narrow, Broad, Solid, Weighty, Expert, Paragon, Illustrious, Sublime.
- Cabin Person: Ask any officer to join this crew
- Pirate: Must have worked a little on your piracy experience and standing, and understand basic teaming and pillaging.
- Officer: Must have some Solid/Weighty experience; also a couple Respected/Master standings. We must be able to trust you with this rank. By this point you should be able to run a sucessful pillage without any other officer on board.
- Fleet Officer: All of the above and be with Truth be Told long enough for us to know you and trust you enough with high resposibilty. Also several ships of oyur own may help you obtain this rank. Fleet Officers should be able to run pillages and help other Officers with their pillages.
- Senior Officer: Long standing trust of the other Senior Officers, which won't come fast. Only the most trustworthy and best will achieve this postion. Senior Officers are expected to run pillages and teach lower ranking Officers how to better run their own.
- Captain:We have only one captian. If Barbacafe takes a break or vacation one of the more trustworthy Senior Officers will take this spot for the time being.
