Talk:Zava

From YPPedia

Alts

Zava did not win the Octopus nor did she win the parrot (not EAGLE, duh). Let's keep familar boasting to the pirates that earned them. If she wants to make a page for her alt that won the parrot, then that's another matter. --Topsecret00

As I mentioned on your talk page, it is YPPedia policy to simply redirect alt names to the main pirate article of the same person. There is no point in having a really short page for an alt unless it's a secret alt. The golden parrot blurb stays. (If you have an issue with anyone calling it an eagle, you may take it up with Hypnos who is the one who referred to it as such.[1]) While Zava did not get first place for the octopus bake-off, she did receive the green octo directly from Amphitrite as a contest prize which means she won it from the contest. The wording could be changed to mention that she was second, but her winning the octopus also stays in the article. --Guppymomma 17:37, 3 July 2006 (PDT)
That's nice you're policy there. Why not carry through with players like Silverdawg/Evil then.--Topsecret00
If you have facts to point out on other pages, such as on Silverdawg or Evil, please feel free to bring them up there on their respective talk pages so it can be discussed or taken care of. YPPedia is a volunteer endeavor with a current total of 16,923 pages in the database. Sadly enough, even with the obsessive monitoring most editors try to do, we often don't get around to patrolling all 16,923 pages. --Guppymomma 07:52, 4 July 2006 (PDT)
Please note, though, that exposing the identity of a user or a character's alts is against the Terms of Service. This should only be done for cases where the alt's main is well-known. --AtteSmythe 09:37, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
I don't think this Zava alt is well known at all..?--Topsecret00
Zava herself posted the alt's identity. That's allowed. It's outing someone else's alt that's disallowed. --AtteSmythe 08:42, 6 July 2006 (PDT)
I find it amusing that a known alt troll is complaining about alts. --Igniknot 09:03, 4 July 2006 (PDT)
I find it amusing that once again you missed the point, Iggy. I am complaining about Zava being treated special on the wiki pages.--Topsecret00
Zava is not being treated any different than other players who have won contests under alt names. Saelin and Slythe are both names Shuranthae has used in bake offs before, and both redirect to his main article. Snakeeye of Viridian and Hunter has different names on Sage, Cobalt and Midnight and they all redirect to her main article. Flopsy redirects to the article of the primary pirate behind the alt. All of Boothook's familiars were won under alt names, but they all link to the main article. The Evil/Silverdawg situation was an abberation, not the norm, and has been corrected already.--Fiddler 06:24, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Yet, she isin't being treated differently. And I think you sidestepped (unsuccessfully)*my* point. You're here to stir the pot. If you had anything legitimate, substantial, or meaningful to say, you would do it on your main. --Igniknot 08:12, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Easy, now. (If you this comment was directed at you, then you're probably right. If you think it wasn't, you, too, are right!) --Ponytailguy 08:56, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Haha, you're right Ponytailguy.
As far as you Ignoramous, how do you know this isn't my main? Why are you even bothering? Everyone knows Zava is your real life girlfriend. Anything you say is your lame attempt to protect her. I hardly think you would ever constructively criticize her here or anywhere else.--Topsecret00
This isn't the place for this. Take it to PMs, if you have to take it anywhere. --AtteSmythe 08:39, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

Congrats

Congratulations on winning your first familiar. I'm sure the competition was fierce midday on a monday. =P

A shame I couldn't be there, on my main at that.--Phade 17:11, 3 July 2006 (PDT)
