Light Brigade / Go with the Flow?

Shouldn't it be noted in the Kent I blockade that the island was won by Go with the Flow, who fought under the Light Brigade due to inadequate fame during the war chest drop to do so themselves?

-Veled 17:03, 13 November 2005 (PST)

Maybe it should be noted on the Isle of Kent page. The precedent at Midnight blockade history is to just report the score (such as Nu II; Cranberry III; and Cranberry IV, all alt flags of Scallywag Syndicate).
Also, the requirement to blockade Kent was dropped from Renowned to Established at some point between Kent I and II. (I noticed it Friday morning). Where in the world would that go? :) Zava 18:24, 13 November 2005 (PST)
Put it all in the History section of Isle of Kent. --Barrister 19:40, 13 November 2005 (PST)

Caravanserai I

I participated in the Caravanserai blockade: It was a sinking blockade. Please don't change this. ZacQuickSilv

The reason it was changed is because an island that is uncolonized cannot possibly have a NON-sinking blockade. Marking the first blockade of an island as "sinking" is fairly redundant. Also, the sinking tag generally implies the competing flags are at war, which is not the case for the blockade in question. --Fannon 20:14, 13 May 2006 (PDT)
From the beginning: Uncolonized islands (no defender) are always sinking. The Sinking blockade note only goes under colonized island blockades that are sinking. --Thunderbird 20:38, 13 May 2006 (PDT)
Ok, I missed that. ZacQuickSilv

sorry for any trouble but I'm not wiki savy and this was the most relevant place to say this, just thought I'd point out the VF verus fidelitas has lost one blockade, not 0 as stated in this wiki, I'd fix it ifi could but I tried and It looked out of my leauge, just thought I'd let you guys know-Banusu77

Spaniel's Transfers

At some point Spaniel was transferred back into Helystra's care from EML, but I think my brain's broken (again) and I'm unable to find the relavant forum thread to nail down the date. Any ideas? --Zava 22:24, 16 June 2006 (PDT)

Is this it? --Yaten talk 22:53, 16 June 2006 (PDT)
Aha! :) Thanks. Told you my brain was broken. --Zava 22:59, 16 June 2006 (PDT)

Comprehensiveness

Upon inspection I found this page to be missing information - there's the latest which I added, and this blockade of Halley is missing from 13 May. Will someone be able to see if we missed any others? Gail 10:47, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

Probably they were not added in the first place. It's unlikely they were lost while we changed the format of the blockade history pages. I should hope there aren't any more missing. --Sagacious (talk) 11:16, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
The event blockade on April 29th is also missing... Are we supposed to include them anyway? Gail 12:21, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
Yes event blockades should be entered into the table, with a note to say it was an event. --Sagacious (talk) 14:15, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

Colours for whole row notes

I tried out a bit more colouring on this page. I made notes that span across a whole row, a pale yellow colour. What do we think? --Sagacious (talk) 14:22, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

I like it. The color matches well, I think. I'm a little concerned that the dates look out of place, now, but adding color there would just make it soupy. --AtteSmythe 14:38, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
I think that filling the whole note rows with colour makes the date colum fit rather nicely. It is certainly much better than having random 'colour-connected' rows of text that kinda merged with the date column - which is what bothered me visually before. --Sagacious (talk) 14:42, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
Just added a 'blocknote' template. This makes adding the row notes easier, I hope :) --Sagacious (talk) 16:56, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

Blackthorpe V

I was with Outcasts. It didn't seem to be a sinking blockade - several ships got sunk and returned to the dock. Did it change to sinking at some point? --Sagacious (talk) 22:55, 22 July 2006 (PDT)

Uncolonized blockades are always sinking. Are you sure the ships weren't just withdrawn? I know Skelly ported a handful of frigs in Round 4 while I was watching. Also, several of my flagmates got injuries. --Zava 23:10, 22 July 2006 (PDT)
Withdrawn they were... That was my 3 4 5 6:00am blunder. That is all ;-) --Sagacious (talk) 04:19, 23 July 2006 (PDT)

Event blockades

Actually the ones I marked "Halley/Cromwell Island is an event blockade island" were blockades where no event was advertised, and are likely either dropped for practice or because the dropping flags don't know better. Should we mark them all as event blockades? Gail 08:25, 26 July 2006 (PDT)

Are we adding the player controlled event blockades to this list (please say no as there's a heck of a lot of contenders each time!) Whitemonkey 22:10 (GMT) 18/10/2006

I agree that adding them is a bad idea. --Barrister 04:10, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
So, leave 'event blockades' using the 'real, can lose your island' game mechanic, but remove the others? Or maybe just leave all of them prior to this release, but note that no event blockades after 10-17-2006 will be added? --AtteSmythe 08:49, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
Possibly keep 3 round event blockades and only add people who genuinely contend? Whitemonkey 07:11 (GMT) 20 october 2006
What about keeping event blockades in which there is a prize allocated? And only when people genuinely contend? Whitemonkey 22:18 24 October 2006 (GMT)
I believe that tracking the new event blockades will be completely impractical. They happen too frequently and with too little advance notice. Some might be worth noting, but I think that should be a separate page like "Notable Sage event blockades". --Barrister 23:29, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

Cromwell IV

Cromwell IV occurred on Nov 5th when I ran my Sage Ship Show. Blaze of Glory made the drop, but I believe Quixotic Tangent won Rounds 1 and 2 while the other rounds were uncontended. There were quite a few others participating including Rogues of Sage, etc...but the details are hazy now and there is nothing on the notice boards anymore. --Scarymuffin 10:16, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Event blockades cluttering up the boards are going to make this history tough to maintain. :/ thanks for the update --AtteSmythe 11:16, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Amity VIII

Would League of Light get the points for winning Amity VIII, because they were the ones who actually contested it. --AdmiralJon 04:16, 29 April 2007 (PST)

Bk blockades

Was wondering if it would be nice to have a different color to tell apart regular blockades from BK blockades. For now I've just added them as regular sinking ones. What do you guys think? --Cecidrake 19:43, 17 June 2007 (PDT)

Trouble with template?

I've been trying to add the July 14th cades and for some reason I can't get it right. Could someone pls add at least one of this weekend blockades? I can pick up after that and add the rest. I really can't figure out what part of the template I'm using wrong. Anything that I try to add just seems to break the table formatting. Ty in advance --Cecidrake 13:11, 15 July 2007 (PDT)

I *think* I've fixed the issue. Check the edit history to see specifically what I did. There was an extra table row and the blockdate template's second number was incorrect (had to be 5 so it knew to span 5 rows instead of the 41 that was in there :)). Try adding another date again. --Guppymomma 13:25, 15 July 2007 (PDT)

Blockade wins by Flag

What is the protocol for updating the wins/losses by Flag table? I notice it is currently not up to date, but that revisions have been made since the "Updated after" date at the bottom of the page, so I am not sure when it really is current to. Is the whole list updated at once, or changes made one flag at a time? I suggest any revision of this section should include all new statistics, and the "Updated after" date edited to suit.

April 29 entry

I can't seem to get the Blocknote template right for the transfer of Bowditch Island on April 29. Could someone take a look at it? Ty! --Cecidrake 10:58, 4 May 2008 (PDT)

Fix'd --Fearlessphil 12:15, 4 May 2008 (PDT)

Basset XXIX

When adding "Blockades at a Glance" to flagarticles, I noticed the mention of Basset XXIX on Blades of Sage page. This blockade isn't documented here though. Can someone verify and add if it's correct ? --Ikketje 08:54, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Spaniel XLI

Imperial Rednecks were not in this kade. IR's plan was to drop the following weekend so it was not a flag sit for RA but another flag contended. We instead decided to go at Ventress since it was an island sale and stop that. The only proof I have is my word as monarch of IR during that time and the one who controls our flag funds/fleet.

Are you sure you're not simply misremembering the dates, and the blockade you were not involved in was an earlier blockade that's missing from the list? The information for this blockade was added on November 1st, soon enough after the blockade (on October 30th) that a mistake is unlikely, and has stood unchanged and unchallenged for more than a year since then. In addition, my searching suggests there's a high probability of a blockade on the weekend of the 9th that went undefended. Even if there IS an error (that noone - youself included - noticed for a whole year) you simply cannot arbitrarily change the participants in the blockade to whatever you think makes sense. --Belthazar451 16:35, 20 November 2011 (PST)

So, this merger thing

And this goes for the Cobalt, Hunter, Malachite, Midnight, and Viridian histories as well. Are the admins planning on moving the Sage history into the new Emerald history page, or just creating a separate Emerald history that'll remain separate altogether (since this one is so long and unwieldy and takes forever-long to load already)? — Narcky 09:15, 26 December 2011 (PST)

Separate Emerald history, though continuing with the numbering. Forum discussion thread. --Belthazar451 13:39, 26 December 2011 (PST)
