This page needs a lot of fleshing out, all you wise pillagers please add to it! --Guppymomma 23 July 2005 08:06 (PDT)

Well, this is my first attempt at this section, and I think it might be a little more thorough than necessary. I'm unsure whether to have some of that information linked off to other areas, or if it is all appropriate in this article. Hopefully someone can add some pictures of battle-nav boards, buttons and stuff later. It's a start.  :) --Rroberts 28 July 2005 13:44 (PDT)

There's a small bar diagram on the PP Docs somewhere showing the might rings colour progression from easy to difficult. This might be a better thing to put as the caption under the picture??--Rroberts 05:58, 3 August 2005 (PDT)

Might ring. That one? --Guppymomma 06:33, 3 August 2005 (PDT)

Exactly. *looks sheepish* --Rroberts 08:38, 3 August 2005 (PDT)

Hehe, don't be sheepish. I actually think it's a fine suggestion to have that graphic on this page as well because it's highly pertinent to the topic. --Guppymomma 08:39, 3 August 2005 (PDT)

For the jobbing offer, it doesn't show everywhere on the ocean, does it? --Pevarnj 16:08, 8 January 2006 (PST)

Job offers are ocean-wide. They used to only show up in the archipelago where the Captain lived, but that was changed a long time ago. They might not show up everywhere, but they have the possibility of such. --Thunderbird 16:16, 8 January 2006 (PST)
I see. Had trouble finding a job offer for my crew when I had gotten on as an alt but was positive they had one up. --user:pevarnj (t/c) 16:47, 8 January 2006 (PST)

Many grammatical changes; edited for parallelism (I turned all "you"s into "the CO" or "he or she", and fixed a few issues relating to the use of various pronouns [replacing "which" for "who" in some cases, etc.]), and applied myriad other fixes and changes, such as two spaces after periods, since that was the prevailing style (though it doesn't make a difference in how it displays, as I see now). If somebody feels I've gone too far, or made mistakes, then...Of course, fix it as necessary. :) --Emufarmers, February 27, 2006, 17:51 (EST)

Added some text to distinguish between brigands and barbarians, added some information about cannon balls . . . I noticed the earlier comments about the 'might ring' and wondered if there was a specific reason why it wasn't on the pillaging page? Not much else really, its all awesome! 2ft_charlie December 1, 2006, 18:58 (GMT)

Should the Hair od the Dog trophy be added to the spoilers? --Fatfriar

Ship Trophies

Should we include the trophies for beating certain ships (i.e. Bronze Sloop and friends) on this page? Should we include them anywhere? Jlh0605 (t/c) 12:17, 20 August 2015 (PDT)

  • Answer: Well... my opinion is "yep go for it", but the consensus would probably be no. Adding one or two is normally fine, but when you start talking about double figures, you begin to duplicate the relevant sections of the Trophy page - in this case Trophy#Pillaging. Once all the trophies from Pillaging are on the Pillaging page, then there'd be a case for all pages to have full lists of related trophies. From what I remember from reading previous discussions about this, the gist was "select a few highly relevant ones". Based on that, I would say don't add all those trophies.
  • Idea1: If there is a way to add a single trophy as a placeholder for a bunch of similar ones (e.g. your Bronze Sloop and friends), that could be a way to add all the trophies to this page, but only take up one spot in the shortlist of highly relevant ones.
  • Idea2: My preferred solution would be to transclude the relevant Trophy page sections into a show/hide box and do away with having to add them manually. However that is quite a big paradigm shift. There would be quite an outcry from the folk who don't like big changes, and I would be hunted down and fed to a hungry kraken :p. --Therobotdude 13:26, 20 August 2015 (PDT)
Honestly, I'm not sure how many of the people who used to care that much are even still active. Still, if it were me, I think I'd just include the sloop trophies and a link to the trophy page section. It's an awful lot of trophies and they're all the same anyway. --Budclare2 19:30, 20 August 2015 (PDT)
