Links in Titles

The Wiki Manual says that links in titles is a bad idea. Want me to get rid of them? --Markozeta 20:19, 8 August 2005 (PDT)

Go for it. "Move" the link brackets to the first instance of that word in the section's text. --Guppymomma 20:23, 8 August 2005 (PDT)

Ocean Pagename style standard

It appears in some of the stuff being brought over from the Unofficial wiki uses "Oceanname Ocean" where this page uses just the Ocean name. Which should be the standard for the actual pages and I assume the other style should redirect, no? ---Ming 20 July 2005 18:31 (PDT)

The page name should be "Ice Ocean" or "Midnight Ocean" with a redirect from "Ice" and "Midnight." I have a preference for using the full names, but it's not strictly necessary. --Barrister 20 July 2005 19:08 (PDT)

Phrasing?

"In-game items cannot be traded between servers; doing so violates the Terms of Service."

This phrase seems a little misleading...it makes it sound like there's a way to move items from one server to another. Of course, I'm no help because my burnt out little fish brain can't seem to think of an alternative wording. --Guppymomma 20:29, 9 August 2005 (PDT)

"In-game items cannot be traded between servers; attempting to do so violates the Terms of Service." --Ihope127 11:29, 17 August 2005 (PDT)

What happened to the waffles?

What happened to my statement about how Captain Cleaver sliced up the Azure server with his cleaver and ate it with a stack of waffles? --Ihope127 11:34, 17 August 2005 (PDT)

I'd assume that someone edited it out. This is an encyclopedia type wiki, not a children's story wiki. Unless it's a direct quote from Cleaver with a referenced footnote, I suggest that you not add it back in. --Guppymomma 11:51, 17 August 2005 (PDT)

Doubloon V Subscription page.

Whilst this page links through to http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=15722&offset=0, just wondering if it would be worthwhile to create a page with some simple dot points outlineing the advantages and disadvantages of Firstly Dub's V Subscription and the Pro's and Cons of each ocean. (Whilst the link is a great starting point, I cant see a new player to the game reading through all of that) --Therack

Sure, a clear & concise page with good formatting would be a good reference for new players. --Guppymomma 20:33, 8 October 2005 (PDT)

Redirect from Doubloon Ocean and Subscriber Ocean?

Why don't the terms "Doubloon Ocean" and "Subscriber Ocean" redirect here or have their own pages?--Doormat2005 19:30, 22 July 2006 (PDT)

Because nobody's asked for or done it yet. Feel free to make redirects or articles. --Guppymomma 19:39, 22 July 2006 (PDT)
Made both redirects.--Doormat2005 11:24, 24 July 2006 (PDT)
Typo with yer Doubloon Ocean redirect. --Sagacious (talk) 12:04, 24 July 2006 (PDT)

Opal

Should a seperate topic be added for opal titled Internation Oceans or something... Also Should Indigos closing date be added...

Colors

I think something should be added about the ocean changing colors during Haloween and Christmas time. Courtkid1012 20:33 July 21 2007

Quite belated, but I agree. I will attempt to get to it some time... Jlh0605 07:48, 7 March 2014 (PST)
If you're after the red seas / iced-over seas, there's a page dealing with that at special event effects which might be helpful. --Therobotdude 08:48, 7 March 2014 (PST)
