Name change
I reserve the conversion of all these pages to the new name of Bludgeons if that's ok... I've got to go to sleep now, but the reboot and update has been cancelled at short notice. I'll do the new screenies aswell unless someone beats me to it ;-) --Sagacious 18:47, 23 March 2006 (PST)
- No such thing as "dibs" here =P. --Thunderbird 19:09, 23 March 2006 (PST)
Chain link changed to piped link
The old link pointed users to the chain page for puzzle strategy. The link now points to Chain (Rumble) but keeps the "chain" text.
New drop patterns
Looks like the drop patterns changed yesterday for most of the bludgeons. We'll need new images. --Barrister 16:42, 28 March 2006 (PST)
Woah...hold on a sec...When did that happen? Lol - I'll take care of them (2nd time in 2 days) All done --Sagacious 17:01, 28 March 2006 (PST)
- Excellent! Thanks for doing this. Ah, the joy of updating Ice-related information. --Barrister 17:50, 28 March 2006 (PST)
Skellie Bone Imgage is wrong
I just acquired my 2nd skellie bone, and the image displayed here is different then what I have. I'd be happy to lend it to someone so they could upload the correct pic (as I have no clue how to post on this thing). Just look me up on Midnight --Folkie
- The image here was taken directly from the media files of the game. Do note that all bludgeons come in multiple colors, I'm guessing yours is merely colored differently. --Thunderbird 16:19, 2 April 2006 (PDT)
Oops, that'll teach me to post here. I meant the drop pattern for the bone is different then the one posted here. Someone else was able to post the pattern here: http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=34195 --Folkie
- Thanks for clearing that up. I've uploaded the new pattern. --Barrister 23:19, 2 April 2006 (PDT)
Drop pattern link confusing
The linked "drop pattern" goes to the SF page. Better perhaps to change that page to a puzzle-neutral explanation of what's meant by the term, or create a rumble-specific drop pattern page (and probably a disambiguation page to go with it)? I'm not sure of the best way to go about that, but as it is right now, I don't think it's really useful. (I'm also Apprentice/Able at Wiki, so I'm very wary of creating new pages!) --Inuki 21:39, 4 April 2006 (PDT)
- Wow, ask and receive! Thanks Barrister! I'll see if I can get something written into the new rumble drop pattern page, even if it's mostly a placeholder for now. :) --Inuki 00:21, 5 April 2006 (PDT)
fish aging
umm i think i know when fish crumble : i got mine at the napi peak blocade last saturday,8.4 and today ,thursday 13.4 it crumbled
Decay
I've ordered one of everything except the hammer. It'll be a few days before I can deliver them all. Once I've got 'em, we'll get the decay rates. --Barrister 18:22, 13 April 2006 (PDT)
- Shakes head. It's a real shame the Devs won't release decay rates. Would make life alot easier. --Sagacious 01:24, 14 April 2006 (PDT)
- Nah, it's cool. It's the discovery process. I'd be mortified if the Ringers just handed us everything. --Barrister 02:46, 14 April 2006 (PDT)
- Spose yer right. Sooooo many items tho. =P Doing a great job. --Sagacious 02:47, 14 April 2006 (PDT)
Bludgeon guide
I've created a selection guide based on discussions in-game with several Ultimates from many oceans. Would it be acceptable to add each respective section to the matching bludgeon page here? For example, add the Gaff section to the Gaff page? --Rixation 07:39, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
- That would be great. Just mirror the stuff we did for the individual swords. --Barrister 09:26, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
Bare Fists
What's the drop pattern for bare hands? CursedBurger 14:13, 5 March 2006 (PST)
- I looked into it, and have so far been unable to find. I don't think it matters right now as they might change the drop patterns before the final release. --Icex05 14:43, 5 March 2006 (PST)
Bare fists aren't bludgeons. How can they be when you use them under the play option 'No Bludgeons'? --Sagacious 14:30, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
- Yeah, I know they're not bludgeons, but a stick isn't really a sword either. --Barrister 15:07, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
- When I made the starter page for bare fists, I was trying to copy the "Wooden cup" phrasing since you can't hold a wooden cup in inventory...but since Barrister added bare fists to the bludgeon template, all of the other bludgeon pages need to be updated for "fifteen" instead of "fourteen". I don't necessarily think it's a bludgeon, but that's just me. --Rixation 15:12, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
- I'm okay with leaving those at 14, although I'm open to convincing otherwise. --Barrister 15:27, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
- I've uploaded the bare fist images, created the hook page, uploaded the hook images, but we still need drop patterns for both. I'm also still not sure whether to change the other pages to say "sixteen" bludgeon types, so we really do need a consensus here, are hooks and fists bludgeons even though they're not held in inventory? --Rixation 06:40, 21 April 2006 (PDT)
- How about something like sixteen bludgeon drop patterns and 14 that can be held in inventory? --Guppymomma 08:03, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Fist drop pattern
I don't know how to present this. Help? Fists' sprinkle patterns are based on the color of the player's skin. If it's a No Bludgeon match, then everyone is RYO. However - if bludgeons are allowed and they simply don't have one equipped, things are much different. Black pirates are RYO, dark tan is YRO, lighter tan is Aqua/R/Y, the ever-popular peachy color is ORY, and I'm not sure how to sort out the three colors of almost-white. They're different, but I need to re-test to make sure my scribbles are correct. (The two pales are Blue/red/yellow and ROY, and white is YOR). A peach pirate with a hook sprinkles RYO. I suppose I could go back through my alts and insta myself to see the actual pattern changes, but that sounds like work. :) Maybe later. --Zava 15:02, 20 April 2006 (PDT)
Colors
No mention is made of what colors bludgeons are available in, or rather what color it isn't available in. No yellow, not sure if there are any other colors which aren't available... --Artemis 06:10, 28 July 2006 (PDT) Now it does.--Fiddler 06:14, 28 July 2006 (PDT)
Decay rate of broken bottle
According to Fiddler, who got a new bottle on Ice some time ago the decay rate of the Broken bottle is considerably less then 90 days, probably 30 days. qCan anyone confirm this? .--Harm1 07 March 2007
Incorrect bare fists drop pattern colors?
I always thought the sprinkle pattern for bare fists was red on the left, yellow, in the middle, and orange on the right, and it never changed no matter what. The wiki page shows the drop pattern for bare fists as aqua on the left, red/orange in the middle, and yellow on the right. This just seems a little incorrect to me. I'm not sure about the strike pattern of bare fists and whether or not it's fixed like the sprinkle, but I'm pretty sure the sprinkle pattern for bare fists is red, yellow, then orange. I just rumbled with a bot with the no bludgeons option to verify, and it indeed is red, yellow, and orange. -Yehj 17:05, 8 March 2008 (PST)
- According to the article on Bare fists: Although the drop pattern itself remains the same for all bare fists, the colors in the pattern are determined by the skintone of the pirate if used during a bludgeon-permitted rumble. If the rumble is "No bludgeons", then standardized drop pattern colors are used for all participants instead. --Chupchup 03:59, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
