Captain's message

Welcome

Loyal Swordfish is an old crew who needs some new faces. Like most crews, we've had our ups and downs and now we're heading back up again! We're actively recruiting now; so if you're an inexperienced pirate looking for somewhere to learn, or an experienced pirate looking for somewhere to advance, please contact an officer. All are welcome as long as they practice honesty and respect. --- Dellabelle

The rules - short version

  1. Be polite and show respect.
  2. Always obey superior officers.
  3. Do not beg or nag (for money, stations, promotions or anything else).
  4. If you're asked not to board, don't board.
  5. Do not chat, play games or laze about during battle.
  6. Always notify the officer in charge (OIC) when leaving.
  7. Do not leave during battle unless it is an emergency.
  8. Commodities and profits from pillaging belong to the ship's owner.
    • Only exception to #8: Gold and KB are to be split 50% to war chest, 50% at OIC's discretion. (War Chest is now the sloop Stingy Flounder at Corona Reef)
  9. Booty shares may be adjusted at the OIC's discretion.
  10. Officers must always restock according to the vessel owner's wishes.
  11. Never, ever abandon a ship at sea or leave it at an island unreachable by ferry.

Violation of the rules may result in booty reduction, planking, demotion or expulsion. If you have an issue with the rules or how they have been interpreted, bring it to the attention of an officer. It may not be resolved immediately, but it will be addressed appropriately. If you wish to contact someone who is not online, PM them through the forums.

Promotion requirements

We recognize that not everyone will excel at everything, which is why promotions are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you have shown interest, we will promote you when we feel you are ready. Do not expect to be promoted just because you have asked or immediately upon joining the crew. We want to get to know you because being an officer is about being trusted and respected.
