Charting

From YPPedia
(Redirected from Chart a course)

Charting (or plotting) a course is the act of selecting the path to be taken by the ship. The officer in charge of the ship is the one who decides the course to take, and is usually the one who actually charts the course. Charting is done from either the ship's helm or else the navigation table.

If the course desired involves league points not yet memorized by the officer in charge, that pirate will need to either acquire the relevant chart(s), or else employ the assistance of someone who has memorized that course.
