The crew Boogie Monsters was created on August 21, 2006. For the first few weeks, they sailed under the flag White Squall due to close ties with the reigning crew Ninja Pirate Monkeys. However, after Ninja Pirate Monkeys decided to leave White Squall, Boogie Monsters moved to the now-defunct flag Curse of Leviathan. After a long independent-crew spell with many flag offers, the Boogie Monsters finally decided to move to the flag Hell's Wrath.
Former captain Shikamarunar decided to make his alternate character Sazuro his main character, which fueled Sazuro's transition to captain.
The Boogie Monsters also love word puzzles and riddles - there was always something to decipher in the private statement. Shikamarunar and Fantabulous (referred to as ShikaFanta) offered prize money to the first crew member to decipher it.
Crew colors are black, white, and violet because the Boogie Monsters believe in tasteful tri-color clothing coordination. They see the world in a clear-headed manner (hence the black and white), but enjoy a lot of fun!
The Boogie Monsters merged with Siren's Song on October 9, 2007.
