The /away command allows you to put up a message that will be seen by anyone who sends you a tell. This is useful when you are busy or away from the computer and wish to let people know. The away message may be cleared by using the /back command once you are no longer busy or away. The away message will also be shown in the Ahoy! box that is generated by the /who command.
